मुंबई: 01/10/2026: FICCI TAG 2026, जो FICCI का सालाना टेक्सटाइल इंडस्ट्री कॉन्फ्रेंस है, का 17वां एडिशन आज मुंबई में शुरू हुआ। इसका मुख्य फोकस "अगली पीढ़ी के भारतीय टेक्सटाइल इकोसिस्टम को बढ़ावा देना: आधुनिक सुविधाएं, मजबूत वैल्यू चेन, व्यापक वैश्विक पहुंच" थीम के तहत एक ग्लोबल स्तर पर कॉम्पिटिटिव और भविष्य के लिए तैयार टेक्सटाइल इकोसिस्टम बनाने पर था। इस कॉन्फ्रेंस में पॉलिसी बनाने वाले, इंडस्ट्री लीडर्स, मैन्युफैक्चरर्स, एक्सपोर्टर्स, टेक्नोलॉजी प्रोवाइडर्स और अन्य प्रमुख स्टेकहोल्डर्स एक साथ आए ताकि भारत को एक प्रमुख ग्लोबल टेक्सटाइल मैन्युफैक्चरिंग और सोर्सिंग डेस्टिनेशन के रूप में आगे बढ़ाने की रणनीतियों पर चर्चा की जा सके।
उद्घाटन सत्र में महाराष्ट्र के माननीय टेक्सटाइल मंत्री
श्री संजय सावकारे और भारत सरकार की टेक्सटाइल कमिश्नर श्रीमती वृंदा मनोहर देसाई
शामिल हुईं, जिन्होंने
संयुक्त रूप से FICCI-Wazir सालाना टेक्सटाइल इंडस्ट्री रिपोर्ट 2026 जारी की। यह रिपोर्ट इस
सेक्टर का व्यापक आकलन पेश करती है और आधुनिकीकरण, टेक्नोलॉजी को अपनाने, सस्टेनेबल वैल्यू चेन और
व्यापक ग्लोबल मार्केट तक पहुंच के माध्यम से भारत की टेक्सटाइल कॉम्पिटिटिवनेस को
मजबूत करने की प्राथमिकताओं को रेखांकित करती है।
सभा को संबोधित करते हुए, श्री संजय सावकारे ने
बदलते ग्लोबल ट्रेड डायनामिक्स और सप्लाई चेन की चुनौतियों का सामना करने में भारत
की टेक्सटाइल इंडस्ट्री की मजबूती की सराहना की। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि
महाराष्ट्र के टेक्सटाइल एक्सपोर्ट को बढ़ाने और ग्लोबल मार्केट में भारत की
स्थिति को मजबूत करने के लिए इंडस्ट्री में अधिक एकीकरण, सहयोग और आधुनिक
मैन्युफैक्चरिंग इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर में निवेश महत्वपूर्ण होगा। उन्होंने इंडस्ट्री
स्टेकहोल्डर्स से टेक्सटाइल वैल्यू चेन में स्केल, प्रोडक्टिविटी और
कॉम्पिटिटिवनेस बनाने की दिशा में सामूहिक रूप से काम करने का आह्वान किया।
इस कॉन्फ्रेंस में तीन खास सेशन हुए,
जिनमें अगली
पीढ़ी के टेक्सटाइल इकोसिस्टम के मुख्य आधारों पर चर्चा की गई।
पहले सेशन, "भविष्य की फैक्ट्रियों की
डिज़ाइनिंग: स्केल, ऑटोमेशन और डेटा-आधारित ऑपरेशन" में इस
बात पर चर्चा हुई कि कैसे भारतीय टेक्सटाइल निर्माता ऑटोमेशन,
डिजिटल
टेक्नोलॉजी और डेटा-आधारित फैसलों के ज़रिए बड़े पैमाने पर ऐसी मैन्युफैक्चरिंग
सुविधाएं विकसित कर सकते हैं जो ग्लोबल स्तर पर मुकाबला कर सकें। चर्चा का मुख्य
फोकस स्पिनिंग, वीविंग, प्रोसेसिंग और
गारमेंटिंग जैसे कामों में प्रोडक्टिविटी बढ़ाने और साथ ही इंडस्ट्री की बदलती
स्किल ज़रूरतों को पूरा करने पर था।
टेक्सटाइल इंडस्ट्री के भविष्य की राह पर बात करते हुए,
सनातन
टेक्सटाइल्स के ED समीर दत्तानी ने ज़ोर दिया कि ऑटोमेशन और बड़े
निवेश के ज़रिए स्केल की बाधाओं को तोड़ना भविष्य की ग्रोथ के लिए ज़रूरी है,
जबकि आलोक
इंडस्ट्रीज़ के COO बिजी चाको ने सभी स्तरों पर ऑटोमेशन के साथ-साथ
स्किलिंग को जोड़ने की ज़रूरत पर ज़ोर दिया। बांसवाड़ा सिंटेक्स लिमिटेड के MD
शालीन तोशनीवाल
ने इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि PM MITRA इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर के सहयोग
से स्केल और ऑटोमेशन ही ग्रोथ का एकमात्र टिकाऊ रास्ता है, जबकि बार्मैग
इंडिया के VP देबब्रत घोष ने MMF सेक्टर में
क्वालिटी और कॉम्पिटिटिवनेस सुनिश्चित करने में बार्मैग मशीनरी जैसी एडवांस्ड
टेक्नोलॉजी की भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला।
दूसरे सेशन, "फार्म टू फैशन: मज़बूत और
टिकाऊ वैल्यू चेन" में इंटीग्रेटेड, मज़बूत और टिकाऊ वैल्यू
चेन बनाने के मौकों पर चर्चा की गई। इंडस्ट्री के जानकारों ने ज़्यादा वैल्यू-एडेड
प्रोडक्ट्स की ओर बढ़ने, मैन-मेड फाइबर (MMF)
इकोसिस्टम को
मज़बूत करने, ग्लोबल स्तर पर स्वीकार्य सस्टेनेबिलिटी
प्रैक्टिस को अपनाने और PM MITRA, PLI और अन्य सपोर्ट
स्कीम जैसी सरकारी पहलों का लाभ उठाने की ज़रूरत पर चर्चा की। पैनलिस्ट ने दक्षता
बढ़ाने और लागत कम करने के लिए मिलकर काम करने वाले इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर और कॉमन
सुविधाओं के महत्व पर भी प्रकाश डाला।
तीसरे सेशन, "मार्केट एक्सेस में
विविधता लाना: FTA का लाभ उठाना और नए बाज़ारों की खोज" में
ग्लोबल टेक्सटाइल बाज़ारों में भारत की मौजूदगी बढ़ाने की रणनीतियों पर फोकस किया
गया। पैनलिस्ट ने भारत-UK FTA और प्रस्तावित भारत-EU
ट्रेड एग्रीमेंट
से पैदा होने वाले मौकों पर प्रकाश डाला, साथ ही अफ्रीका,
लैटिन अमेरिका,
पश्चिम एशिया और
दक्षिण-पूर्व एशिया को ग्रोथ के लिए अच्छे बाज़ारों के तौर पर पहचाना। चर्चाओं में
मार्केट में विविधता लाने, क्षेत्रीय मांग के हिसाब
से प्रोडक्ट पोर्टफोलियो तैयार करने और मार्केट-स्पेसिफिक स्टैंडर्ड्स व
सर्टिफिकेशन की ज़रूरतों को पूरा करने पर ज़ोर दिया गया।
मुंबई में डायरेक्टरेट जनरल ऑफ़ फॉरेन ट्रेड (DGFT)
के एडिशनल DGFT,
श्री आर.के.
मिश्रा ने इस सेशन में भारत के फ्री ट्रेड एग्रीमेंट्स (FTAs) को लागू करने की
प्रगति और ग्लोबल कॉम्पिटिटर्स की तुलना में भारतीय एक्सपोर्टर्स को बेहतर मार्केट
एक्सेस दिलाने की उनकी क्षमता पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि अगर टेक्सटाइल
इंडस्ट्री अगले पांच सालों में अपने एक्सपोर्ट को दोगुना करने में सफल हो जाती है,
तो अकेले
यूरोपियन यूनियन को होने वाला एक्सपोर्ट अनुमानित 7-10 बिलियन अमेरिकी
डॉलर तक बढ़ सकता है। भविष्य में विकास के मौकों पर ज़ोर देते हुए,
उन्होंने
इंडस्ट्री से कहा कि वे इंटरनेशनल मार्केट के लिए ई-कॉमर्स चैनलों का सक्रिय रूप
से इस्तेमाल करें और उभरते ग्लोबल डिमांड ट्रेंड्स के हिसाब से अपनी प्रोडक्शन
क्षमताओं को तैयार करें।
ECGC लिमिटेड के जनरल मैनेजर श्री कुमार अंशुमन ने
टेक्सटाइल एक्सपोर्टर्स से ECGC के सपोर्ट और दुनिया भर
में इसके द्वारा दिए जाने वाले रिस्क कवर का लाभ उठाते हुए इसमें शामिल होने का
आग्रह किया।
FICCI TAG 2026 में हुई चर्चाओं ने भारत
के टेक्सटाइल सेक्टर को मज़बूत करने के लिए पॉलिसी सपोर्ट, इनोवेशन,
सस्टेनेबिलिटी,
टेक्नोलॉजी को
अपनाने और रणनीतिक निवेश के महत्व को और मज़बूत किया। इंडस्ट्री लीडर्स इस बात पर
सहमत थे कि आधुनिक मैन्युफैक्चरिंग सुविधाएं, मज़बूत वैल्यू चेन, कुशल टैलेंट और
व्यापक ग्लोबल मार्केट एक्सेस आने वाले वर्षों में भारत को टेक्सटाइल और कपड़ों की
सोर्सिंग के लिए एक पसंदीदा ग्लोबल हब के रूप में स्थापित करने में अहम भूमिका
निभाएंगे।
इस कॉन्फ्रेंस को महाराष्ट्र सरकार के टेक्सटाइल विभाग; ECGC, ग्रासिम इंडस्ट्रीज़, रेवाल्यु, बरमैग, ज़ाइडेक्स, ATE एंटरप्राइज़ और नॉलेज पार्टनर वज़ीर एडवाइज़र्स का सहयोग मिला।

2026/10/01: The 17th edition of FICCI TAG 2026, FICCI's annual textile industry
conference, commenced in Mumbai today with a strong focus on building a
globally competitive and future-ready textile ecosystem under the theme,
"Nurturing the Next-Gen Indian Textile Ecosystem: Modern Facilities,
Stronger Value Chains, Wider Global Reach." The conference brought
together policymakers, industry leaders, manufacturers, exporters, technology
providers, and other key stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for
accelerating India's growth as a leading global textile manufacturing and
sourcing destination.
The inaugural session featured Shri Sanjay Savkare, Hon'ble Textile Minister of Maharashtra, and Smt. Vrunda Manohar Desai, Textile Commissioner, Government of India, who jointly unveiled the FICCI-Wazir Annual Textile Industry Report 2026. The report presents a comprehensive assessment of the sector and outlines priorities for strengthening India's textile competitiveness through modernization, technology adoption, sustainable value chains, and broader global market access.
Addressing
the gathering, Shri Sanjay Savkare lauded the resilience of India's textile
industry in navigating evolving global trade dynamics and supply chain
challenges. He emphasized that greater industry consolidation, collaboration,
and investments in modern manufacturing infrastructure will be critical for
enhancing Maharashtra's textile exports and strengthening India's position in
global markets. He called upon industry stakeholders to work collectively
towards building scale, productivity, and competitiveness across the textile
value chain.
Speaking
on the occasion, Smt. Vrunda Manohar Desai highlighted the Government of
India's continued focus on strengthening the textile ecosystem through focused
policy interventions and flagship initiatives. She underscored the importance
of modernization, stronger value chains, and export competitiveness, while
urging the industry to capitalize on emerging opportunities arising from
India's expanding network of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
Presenting
the key findings of the report, Mr. Prashant Agarwal, Managing Director, Wazir
Advisors, noted that automation, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence
will be among the most significant drivers of competitiveness and profitability
for textile enterprises in the coming years. He also emphasized the need to
attract young engineering talent into the industry and create innovation-led
manufacturing ecosystems capable of sustaining long-term growth.
The
conference featured three focused sessions examining the building blocks of the
next-generation textile ecosystem.
The
first session, "Designing the Future Factories: Scale, Automation, and
Data-Driven Operations," explored how Indian textile manufacturers can
develop globally competitive, large-scale manufacturing facilities powered by
automation, digital technologies, and data-driven decision-making. Discussions
focused on enhancing productivity across spinning, weaving, processing, and
garmenting operations while addressing the industry's evolving skill
requirements.
Highlighting
the road ahead for the textile industry, Sammir Dattani, ED, Sanathan Textiles
emphasised that breaking barriers of scale through automation and large
investments is key to future growth, while Biji Chacko, COO, Alok Industries
stressed the need to combine automation with skilling at all levels. Shaleen
Toshniwal, MD, Banswara Syntex Ltd. underscored that scale and automation
remain the only sustainable path to growth, supported by PM MITRA
infrastructure, while Debabrata Ghosh, VP, Barmag India highlighted the role of
advanced technologies such as Barmag machinery in ensuring quality and
competitiveness in the MMF sector.
The second session, "Farm to Fashion: Stronger & Sustainable Value Chain," examined opportunities for creating integrated, resilient, and sustainable value chains. Industry experts discussed the need to move towards higher value-added products, strengthen the man-made fibre (MMF) ecosystem, adopt globally accepted sustainability practices, and leverage government initiatives such as PM MITRA, PLI, and other support schemes. Panellists also highlighted the importance of collaborative infrastructure and common facilities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
The
third session, "Diversifying Market Access: Leveraging FTAs &
Exploring New Markets," focused on strategies for expanding India's
presence in global textile markets. Panellists highlighted opportunities
emerging from the India-UK FTA and the proposed India-EU trade agreement, while
identifying Africa, Latin America, West Asia, and South-East Asia as promising
growth destinations. Discussions emphasized market diversification, alignment
of product portfolios with regional demand, and compliance with market-specific
standards and certification requirements.
Shri
R K Mishra, Additional DGFT, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Mumbai, at
the session, highlighted the implementation progress of India’s Free Trade
Agreements (FTAs) and their potential to provide Indian exporters with enhanced
market access over global competitors. He noted that if the textile industry
succeeds in doubling its exports over the next five years, exports to the
European Union alone could increase by an estimated USD 7-10 billion.
Emphasising future growth opportunities, he urged the industry to proactively
leverage e-commerce channels for international markets and align production
capabilities with emerging global demand trends
Shri
Kumar Anshuman, General manager, ECGC Ltd called for textile exporters
participation with the support of ECGC and risk cover it provides across the
globe.
The deliberations at FICCI TAG 2026 reinforced the importance of policy support, innovation, sustainability, technology adoption, and strategic investments in strengthening India's textile sector. Industry leaders concurred that modern manufacturing facilities, stronger value chains, skilled talent, and wider global market access will be instrumental in positioning India as a preferred global textile and apparel sourcing hub in the years ahead.
