नई दिल्ली : 2026/03/03: जैसे ही भारत और कनाडा ने कल नई दिल्ली में प्लान किए गए कॉम्प्रिहेंसिव इकोनॉमिक पार्टनरशिप एग्रीमेंट (CEPA) के लिए बातचीत शुरू की, इसके टर्म्स ऑफ़ रेफरेंस (ToR) पर भारत के कॉमर्स और इंडस्ट्री मिनिस्टर पीयूष गोयल और कनाडा के इंटरनेशनल ट्रेड मिनिस्टर मनिंदर सिद्धू ने साइन किए।

साइनिंग सेरेमनी में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और मार्क कार्नी मौजूद थे।

 

मोदी ने कहा कि 2030 तक बाइलेटरल ट्रेड को $50 बिलियन तक ले जाने का टारगेट है।

 

भारतीय कॉमर्स और इंडस्ट्री मिनिस्ट्री की एक रिलीज़ में कहा गया है कि ToR बातचीत के लिए फॉर्मेट, फ्रीक्वेंसी और अप्रोच बताएगा।

 

यह एक बड़ा, बैलेंस्ड और आपसी फायदे वाला CEPA पूरा करने के लिए बातचीत को आसान बनाने में एक गाइड का काम करेगा।

 

बातचीत में सामान, सर्विस और दूसरे आपसी सहमति वाले पॉलिसी एरिया में ट्रेड शामिल होगा।

 

भारत से कनाडा को होने वाले मुख्य एक्सपोर्ट में कॉटन गारमेंट और केमिकल शामिल हैं। कनाडा से भारत के मुख्य इंपोर्ट में कोयला, पेपर और पेट्रोलियम क्रूड शामिल हैं।

New Delhi : 2026/03/03: As India and Canada launched negotiations in New Delhi yesterday for the planned Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), its terms of reference (ToR) were signed by Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and Canadian Minister of International Trade Maninder Sidhu.

Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Mark Carney were present at the signing ceremony.

 

Modi said the target is to take bilateral trade to $50 billion by 2030.

 

The ToR will provide format, frequency and approach to the negotiations, a release from the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry said.

 

It will serve as a guide to facilitate negotiations to conclude an ambitious, balanced and mutually beneficial CEPA.

 

The negotiations would cover trade in goods, services and other mutually agreed policy areas.

 

Key exports from India to Canada include cotton garments and chemicals. Key imports of India from Canada include coal, paper and petroleum crude.
