नई दिल्‍ली : २०२२/०५/१९: कपड़ा मंत्रालय ने राजस्व विभाग को 30 सितंबर तक भारतीय तटों पर पहुंचने वाले कपास के आयात पर शुल्क हटाने को कहा है, लेकिन मंत्रालय ने अभी तक कपास के निर्यात पर किसी प्रतिबंध नहीं लगाया है। वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्रालय को भी निर्यात प्रतिबंधों पर कोई अनुरोध नहीं किया गया है। एक अधिकारी ने यह कहा।

 

कपास की कीमतें दो तिमाहियों पहले ₹55,000 प्रति कैंडी से बढ़कर ₹1 लाख प्रति कैंडी को पार कर गई हैं। इससे कपड़ा और परिधान निर्माताओं के लिए इनपुट लागत बढ़ गई है।

 

सरकार ने पहले ही 30 सितंबर तक कपास पर 11% आयात शुल्क समाप्त कर दिया है। आयात के लिए एक और लचीलेपन पर विचार किया जा रहा है। इसके अनुसार 30 सितंबर तक बिल ऑफ लैडिंग जारी होने पर इनबाउंड शिपमेंट को शुल्क मुक्त करने की अनुमति दी जाएगी।

 

कपड़ा और वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल की कपड़ा उद्योग के साथ हुई बैठक में अन्य मुद्दे भी आए। इनमें कपास के आयात में लचीलापन, निर्यात प्रोत्साहन और घरेलू बाजार के लिए अधिक यार्न का आवंटन शामिल था।

New Delhi : 2022/05/19: The Textiles Ministry has asked the Revenue Department to remove the duty on import of cotton reaching Indian shores by 30th September, but the Ministry has not imposed any restrictions on the export of cotton so far. There has also been no request on export restrictions to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. An officer said this.

 

Cotton prices have crossed ₹1 lakh per candy from ₹55,000 per candy two quarters ago. This has increased the input cost for the garment and apparel manufacturers.

 

The government has already abolished 11% import duty on cotton till 30 September. Another flexibility is being considered for imports. Accordingly, inbound shipments will be allowed duty free on issuance of bill of lading by 30 September.

 

Other issues also came up in the meeting of Textiles and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal with the textile industry. These included flexibility in cotton imports, export promotion and allocation of more yarn for the domestic market.
