नई दिल्ली:2024/06/20: भारत सरकार ने 2024-25 के आगामी विपणन सीजन के लिए कपास की खरीद कीमतों में 7 प्रतिशत से अधिक की वृद्धि की है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने इस सीजन के लिए सभी अनिवार्य खरीफ फसलों के लिए न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य (MSP) में वृद्धि को मंजूरी दी। भारतीय कपड़ा उद्योग के सूत्रों का मानना ​​है कि इससे मूल्य श्रृंखला में उत्पादन की लागत बढ़ेगी।

 

सरकारी प्रेस विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, मध्यम स्टेपल कपास (देखा कपास) के लिए एमएसपी को पिछले साल के 6,620 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल से बढ़ाकर 7,121 रुपये (~$85.36) प्रति क्विंटल कर दिया गया है। यह पिछले साल के एमएसपी से 501 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल की वृद्धि दर्शाता है। इसी तरह, सरकार की नोडल एजेंसी, कॉटन कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (CCI), 7,521 रुपये (~ $ 90.15) प्रति क्विंटल के नए एमएसपी पर लंबे स्टेपल कपास की खरीद करेगी, जो पिछले एमएसपी 7,020 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल से 501 रुपये अधिक है। इसलिए, सरकार ने मध्यम स्टेपल के लिए एमएसपी में 7.56 प्रतिशत और लंबे स्टेपल कपास के लिए 7.13 प्रतिशत की बढ़ोतरी की है। उद्योग के सूत्रों ने भविष्यवाणी की है कि एमएसपी में वृद्धि से उत्पादन लागत बढ़ जाएगी, क्योंकि जिनर और स्पिनरों को कपास की ऊंची कीमतों का सामना करना पड़ेगा। कपास का बाजार मूल्य एमएसपी स्तर से ऊपर रहने का अनुमान है। हालांकि, इस बात पर राय विभाजित हैं कि क्या स्पिनर, साथ ही कपड़ा और परिधान निर्माता, सुस्त वैश्विक मांग को देखते हुए इन बढ़ी हुई उत्पादन लागतों को अपने खरीदारों पर स्थानांतरित करने में सक्षम होंगे।

New Delhi:2024/06/20:  The Indian government has increased cotton purchase prices by more than 7 per cent for the upcoming marketing season of 2024-25. The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for all mandated Kharif crops for this season. Sources from the Indian textile industry expect this will raise the cost of production in the value chain.

 

According to a government press release, the MSP for medium staple cotton (seen cotton) has been increased to Rs 7,121 (~$85.36) per quintal from Rs 6,620 per quintal last year. This represents a Rs 501 per quintal increase over last year’s MSP. Similarly, the government’s nodal agency, the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI), will purchase long staple cotton at the new MSP of Rs 7,521 (~$90.15) per quintal, which is Rs 501 higher than the previous MSP of Rs 7,020 per quintal. Therefore, the government has hiked the MSP by 7.56 per cent for medium staple and 7.13 per cent for long staple cotton. 

 

Industry sources have predicted that the increase in MSP will drive up production costs, as ginners and spinners will encounter higher cotton prices. The market price of cotton is anticipated to remain above the MSP level. However, opinions are divided on whether spinners, as well as fabric and garment manufacturers, will be able to transfer these increased production costs to their buyers, given the sluggish global demand.
