नई दिल्ली: 2025/08/21: भारत और यूरेशियन आर्थिक संघ (EAEU) ने मॉस्को में मुक्त व्यापार समझौते (FTA) पर वार्ता शुरू करने के लिए संदर्भ शर्तों (ToR) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।

 

इस ToR पर भारत सरकार के वाणिज्य विभाग के अतिरिक्त सचिव अजय भादू और यूरेशियन आर्थिक आयोग (EEC) के व्यापार नीति विभाग के उप निदेशक मिखाइल चेरेकेव ने हस्ताक्षर किए।

 

अपनी यात्रा के दौरान अजय भादू ने EEC के व्यापार प्रभारी मंत्री आंद्रेई स्लेपनेव से भी मुलाकात की। वार्ता समूहों के प्रमुखों ने मंत्री को ToR पर हस्ताक्षर के साथ हासिल की गई उपलब्धि से अवगत कराया और भविष्य के व्यापार समझौते के संगठनात्मक पहलुओं सहित वार्ता प्रक्रिया को औपचारिक रूप से शुरू करने के लिए अगले कदमों पर चर्चा की।

 

दोनों पक्षों ने भारत और EAEU (अर्मेनिया, बेलारूस, कज़ाकिस्तान, किर्गिज़ गणराज्य और रूसी संघ) के बीच बढ़ते व्यापार कारोबार पर ध्यान दिया, जो 2024 में 69 बिलियन डॉलर तक पहुँच गया, जो 2023 की तुलना में 7 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि दर्शाता है।

 

6.5 ट्रिलियन डॉलर के संयुक्त सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (GDP) के साथ, प्रस्तावित FTA से भारतीय निर्यातकों के लिए बाजार पहुँच का विस्तार होने, नए क्षेत्रों और भौगोलिक क्षेत्रों में विविधीकरण को बढ़ावा मिलने, गैर-बाजार अर्थव्यवस्थाओं के मुकाबले प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता बढ़ने और सूक्ष्म, लघु एवं मध्यम उद्यमों (MSME) को महत्वपूर्ण लाभ मिलने की उम्मीद है, वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्रालय ने एक विज्ञप्ति में कहा।

 

ToR वार्ता के लिए रूपरेखा प्रदान करता है और इससे अप्रयुक्त व्यापार क्षमता को उजागर करने, निवेश बढ़ाने और एक मजबूत, टिकाऊ भारत-EAEU आर्थिक साझेदारी स्थापित करने की उम्मीद है। दोनों पक्षों ने समझौते को शीघ्र पूरा करने और व्यापार सहयोग के लिए एक दीर्घकालिक संस्थागत ढाँचा बनाने के लिए अपनी प्रतिबद्धता की पुष्टि की।

New Delhi: 2025/08/21: India and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) have signed the Terms of Reference (ToR) to launch negotiations on a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in Moscow.

 

The ToR was signed by additional secretary, department of commerce, government of India, Ajay Bhadoo, and deputy director, trade policy department, Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Mikhail Cherekaev.

 

During his visit Ajay Bhadoo also called on minister in charge of trade, EEC, Andrei Slepnev. The heads of negotiation groups apprised the Minister about the milestone achieved with the signing of the ToR and discussed next steps to formally launch the negotiation process, including organisational aspects of the future trade deal.

 

Both sides noted the growing trade turnover between India and the EAEU, comprising Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation, which stood at $69 billion in 2024, registering a 7 per cent increase over 2023.

 

With a combined GDP of $6.5 trillion, the proposed FTA is expected to expand market access for Indian exporters, support diversification into new sectors and geographies, enhance competitiveness against non-market economies, and deliver significant benefits to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Ministry of Commerce & Industry said in a release.

 

The ToR provides the framework for negotiations and is expected to unlock untapped trade potential, increase investments and establish a stronger, durable India–EAEU economic partnership. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the early conclusion of the agreement and to building a long-term institutional framework for trade cooperation.
