मुंबई: ११ जून २०२२:  जून 2021 से ऑर्गेनिक कॉटन, एक्स्ट्रा-लॉन्ग स्टेपल (ईएलएस) और लॉन्ग स्टेपल दोनों की कीमतों में ऊपर की ओर रुझान दिखा है। ईएलएस ऑर्गेनिक कॉटन (34.5 मिमी) की कीमत में जून 2021 से 34 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई है, जबकि लॉन्ग स्टेपल ऑर्गेनिक कॉटन (28.5 एमएम से 34.4 एमएम) की कीमतों में 108 फीसदी का उछाल आया है।

 

भारत विश्व के जैविक कपास का लगभग 50 प्रतिशत उत्पादन करता है। मार्च-मई 2022 के औसत मूल्य ₹331.37 से इस महीने में ईएलएस ऑर्गेनिक कॉटन की कीमत 2.29 प्रतिशत बढ़कर ₹338.96 प्रति किलोग्राम हो गई। दिसंबर 2021-फरवरी 2022 में औसत कीमत ₹330.19, सितंबर-नवंबर 2021 में ₹297.07 और जून-अगस्त 2021 में ₹252.87 प्रति किलोग्राम थी। कीमतें पिछले तीन महीनों के दौरान औसत कीमत से 22.52 प्रतिशत बढ़ीं।

 

लॉन्ग स्टेपल ऑर्गेनिक कॉटन की औसत कीमत इस महीने में ₹330.57 प्रति किलोग्राम दर्ज की गई जो मार्च-मई 2022 में ₹310.63 की औसत कीमतों से 6.42 फीसदी अधिक थी। कीमतों में सितंबर 2021 से मई 2022 तक भारी वृद्धि दर्ज की गई। मार्च- मई 2022 ने पिछले तीन महीनों के दौरान औसत मूल्य से 24.58 प्रतिशत की वापसी की। दिसंबर 2021-फरवरी 2022 में लॉन्ग स्टेपल ऑर्गेनिक कॉटन की औसत कीमत ₹249.34 प्रति किलोग्राम थी, जो सितंबर-नवंबर 2021 में ₹183.61 से 35.80 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि के साथ थी, जब यह पिछले तीन महीनों से 15.84 प्रतिशत बढ़ी थी। टेक्सप्रो के 2021 में कीमत ₹158.50 प्रति किलोग्राम थी।

 

2020-21 सीज़न में, भारत का जैविक कपास उत्पादन 8.10 लाख मीट्रिक टन था।

Organic cotton prices in India show upward trend since June 2021

Mumbai:2022/06/11: The prices of organic cotton, both extra-long staple (ELS) and long staple, have recorded an upward trend since June 2021. The price of ELS organic cotton (34.5 mm) has surged by 34 per cent since June 2021, while that of long staple organic cotton (28.5 mm to 34.4 mm) has jumped 108 per cent. India produces nearly 50 per cent of the world’s organic cotton.

The price of ELS organic cotton increased by 2.29 per cent to ₹338.96 per kg in this month from the average price of ₹331.37 of March-May 2022. The average price was ₹330.19 in December 2021-February 2022, ₹297.07 in September-November 2021 and ₹252.87 per kg in June-August 2021 when the prices increased 22.52 per cent from average price during the preceding three months.

 

Long staple organic cotton recorded average price at ₹330.57 per kg in this month which was 6.42 per cent higher than average prices of ₹310.63 in March-May 2022. The prices had registered steep rise from September 2021 to May 2022. March-May 2022 recovered 24.58 per cent from average price during the previous three months. The average price of long staple organic cotton was ₹249.34 per kg in December 2021-February 2022 with increase of 35.80 per cent from ₹183.61 in September-November 2021 when it surged 15.84 per cent from previous three months. The price was ₹158.50 per kg in June-August 2021.

 

In 2020-21 season, India’s organic cotton production stood at 8.10 lakh MT.
