वापी: 03/09/2026: टेक्सटाइल एसोसिएशन (इंडिया), मुंबई यूनिट ने 22 अगस्त 2026 को वापी (गुजरात) में "टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स में भविष्य के ट्रेंड्स" पर एक दिवसीय सेमिनार आयोजित किया। सेमिनार का उद्घाटन मुख्य अतिथि श्री प्रमोद खोसला, चेयरमैन और मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर, खोसला प्रोफ़ाइल प्राइवेट लिमिटेड ने किया।

 

उद्घाटन सत्र

 

TAI, मुंबई यूनिट के वाइस प्रेसिडेंट श्री आर. आर. पाटिल ने स्वागत भाषण दिया। अपने भाषण में, उन्होंने मुख्य अतिथि श्री प्रमोद खोसला (चेयरमैन और मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर, खोसला प्रोफ़ाइल प्राइवेट लिमिटेड) और मुख्य वक्ता डॉ. इंग. मोहित रैना (मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर, रैना इंडस्ट्रीज प्राइवेट लिमिटेड) का स्वागत किया। उन्होंने लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड पाने वाले श्री विपिन कालरा (चेयरमैन, मदुरा इंडस्ट्रियल टेक्सटाइल्स लिमिटेड) और इंडस्ट्रियल एक्सीलेंस अवार्ड पाने वाले श्री चक्रेश जैन (ग्रुप प्रेसिडेंट - टेक्निकल, सुप्रीम नॉनवोवेन्स इंडस्ट्रीज प्राइवेट लिमिटेड) के साथ-साथ अन्य वक्ताओं, प्रेस, मीडिया और प्रतिनिधियों का भी स्वागत किया।

 

टेक्सटाइल एसोसिएशन (इंडिया) के प्रेसिडेंट श्री आर. के. विज ने सेमिनार को संबोधित करते हुए हेल्थकेयर, इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर, ऑटोमोटिव, डिफेंस, एग्रीकल्चर और एयरोस्पेस जैसे क्षेत्रों में टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स के बढ़ते महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि इस क्षेत्र का भविष्य हाई-परफॉर्मेंस मटीरियल, स्मार्ट टेक्सटाइल्स और सस्टेनेबिलिटी (स्थिरता) पर आधारित होगा। उन्होंने इनोवेशन, टेस्टिंग, स्किल डेवलपमेंट और कमर्शियलाइज़ेशन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए इंडस्ट्री, एकेडेमिया, रिसर्च संस्थानों और सरकार के बीच बेहतर सहयोग की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। श्री विज ने कहा कि मजबूत टेक्सटाइल बेस और बड़े घरेलू बाजार के साथ, भारत के पास टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स, इनोवेशन और एडवांस्ड एप्लीकेशन के लिए ग्लोबल हब के रूप में उभरने का बड़ा मौका है। उन्होंने इंडस्ट्री से विचारों को पार्टनरशिप, नए उत्पादों और कमर्शियल अवसरों में बदलने का आह्वान किया और उम्मीद जताई कि इस सेमिनार से बेहतर सहयोग और ठोस कदम उठाए जाएंगे।

 

TAI, मुंबई यूनिट के सेमिनार एडवाइजर और ट्रस्टी डॉ. गुरुदास अरास ने अपने संबोधन में भारतीय टेक्सटाइल इंडस्ट्री में टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स के बढ़ते महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। डॉ. अरास ने कहा कि टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स, पारंपरिक उत्पादों को इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर, हेल्थकेयर, डिफेंस, एग्रीकल्चर, ऑटोमोबाइल, फिल्ट्रेशन, स्पोर्ट्स और अन्य एडवांस्ड कामों के लिए हाई-परफॉर्मेंस इंजीनियरिंग समाधानों में बदल रहे हैं। उन्होंने इस बात पर ज़ोर दिया कि भारत को कई बड़े फ़ायदे हैं, जैसे कि मज़बूत टेक्सटाइल मैन्युफैक्चरिंग बेस, पूरी वैल्यू चेन में कुशल क्षमताएं और एक बड़ा घरेलू बाज़ार। उन्होंने R&D, स्वदेशी तकनीक, इंडस्ट्री-एकेडेमिया सहयोग, टेस्टिंग, सर्टिफ़िकेशन और स्टार्ट-अप इनोवेशन में ज़्यादा निवेश की ज़रूरत बताई। डॉ. अरास ने कहा कि भारत का लक्ष्य सिर्फ़ आयात को कम करने से आगे बढ़कर टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स के लिए ग्लोबल इनोवेशन और मैन्युफैक्चरिंग हब बनने पर होना चाहिए। उन्होंने ज़ोर दिया कि "उत्पाद के तौर पर टेक्सटाइल्स" से "समाधान के तौर पर टेक्सटाइल्स" की ओर बढ़ना भारतीय टेक्सटाइल इंडस्ट्री के अगले अध्याय को तय करेगा और इंडस्ट्री से जुड़े लोगों से इस भविष्य को बनाने में सक्रिय रूप से योगदान देने का आग्रह किया।

 

खोस्ला प्रोफ़िल प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के चेयरमैन और मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर, श्री प्रमोद खोसला ने अपने उद्घाटन भाषण में पिछले चार दशकों में इनोवेशन के सफ़र पर प्रकाश डाला और भारतीय इंडस्ट्री की उस यात्रा की मुख्य बातें बताईं, जिसमें वह हाई-परफॉर्मेंस टेक्सटाइल्स - खासकर फिल्ट्रेशन फैब्रिक्स और उससे जुड़े टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल सेक्टर - में तेज़ी से विकास करने वाले प्रमुख देशों में शामिल हो रही है।

 

रेना इंडस्ट्रीज़ प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर, डॉ. इंग. मोहित रैना ने अपने मुख्य भाषण में कहा कि टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स में इनोवेशन का फ़ोकस परफॉर्मेंस और इंटरडिसिप्लिनरी अप्रोच पर होता है, ताकि बिल्डिंग मटीरियल, कंस्ट्रक्शन, इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर और मरीन सेक्टर में खास कामों के लिए टेक्सटाइल्स की हाई परफॉर्मेंस का इस्तेमाल किया जा सके। उन्होंने दोहराया कि भारत में खास कामों - खासकर टेक्सटाइल रीइन्फोर्स्ड कंक्रीट टेक्नोलॉजी - के लिए रॉ मटीरियल और यार्न विकसित करने में इनोवेशन एक अहम कारक है। इस क्षेत्र में टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स पर उनके काम के लिए उन्हें राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है।

 

टेक्सटाइल एसोसिएशन (इंडिया), मुंबई यूनिट ने मदुरा इंडस्ट्रियल टेक्सटाइल्स लिमिटेड के चेयरमैन श्री विपिन कालरा को "लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड" और सुप्रीम नॉनवोवेन्स इंडस्ट्रीज प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के ग्रुप प्रेसिडेंट – टेक्निकल, श्री चक्रेश जैन को टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल के क्षेत्र में उनके बेहतरीन योगदान के लिए "इंडस्ट्री एक्सीलेंस अवार्ड" से सम्मानित किया।

टेक्निकल सेशन I के दौरान, जाने-माने वक्ताओं ने निम्नलिखित पेपर पेश किए।

 

       श्री वर्षा बागवान, साइंटिफिक रिसर्चर | कंट्री रिप्रेजेंटेटिव – इंडिया, फैब्रिक प्रोडक्शन, ITA – इंस्टीट्यूट फर टेक्सटाइलटेक्निक, RWTH आचेन यूनिवर्सिटी, जर्मनी ने "पारंपरिक से टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल तक: भारतीय निर्माताओं के लिए बदलाव का रोडमैप" विषय पर प्रेजेंटेशन दिया।

 

       श्री श्रीधर दीक्षित, जनरल मैनेजर - सेल्स एंड मार्केटिंग, यमुना मशीन वर्क्स प्राइवेट लिमिटेड ने "टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल के लिए एडवांस्ड कोटिंग और लैमिनेशन आर्किटेक्चर" विषय पर पेपर पेश किया।

 

       श्री मनीष मशिलकर, सीनियर मैनेजर-सेल्स और श्री दीपक कराडे, डिप्टी जनरल मैनेजर, टेक्सटाइल इंजीनियरिंग ग्रुप – प्रोसेसिंग, A. T. E. एंटरप्राइजेज प्राइवेट लिमिटेड ने "टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल के लिए वार्प निटिंग और कोटिंग टेक्नोलॉजी" विषय पर प्रेजेंटेशन दिया।

 

       श्रीमती मंजिरी परांजपे, वाइस प्रेसिडेंट (R&D), रोसारी बायोटेक लिमिटेड ने "टेक्सटाइल फिनिश के साथ एथलेटिक परफॉर्मेंस को बेहतर बनाना" विषय पर प्रेजेंटेशन दिया।

 

       श्री अनीश जीवरजका, एग्जीक्यूटिव डायरेक्टर, जीवरजका टेक्सटाइल इंडस्ट्रीज ने "टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल — धागे से परफॉर्मेंस तक" विषय पर पेपर पेश किया।

 

हर वक्ता के साथ हुई औपचारिक और अनौपचारिक बातचीत से पता चला कि प्रतिनिधियों ने इन पेपरों को बहुत पसंद किया।

 

सेशन – II

 

टेक्निकल सेशन II के दौरान, जाने-माने वक्ताओं ने निम्नलिखित पांच पेपर पेश किए।

       मिस्टर दयाल मेहता जैन, CEO और बिज़नेस इवेंजलिस्ट, अलायंस ऑफ़ इंडियन टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल इंडस्ट्रीज़ एंड स्टार्टअप्स (AiTTiS) और कंट्री हेड व CGO, AF. Corp., ताइवान ने "टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स में स्टार्टअप के मौके: इनोवेशन से कमर्शियलाइज़ेशन तक" विषय पर पेपर पेश किया।

 

       मिस्टर परेश शाह, बिज़नेस हेड, राबाटेक्स इंडस्ट्रीज़ प्राइवेट लिमिटेड ने "टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स इनोवेशन और मशीनरी में बेहतरीन काम" पर प्रेजेंटेशन दिया।

 

       मिस्टर अभिषेक शंकर कांबले, डायरेक्टर, क्लीन ग्लोब इंडिया प्राइवेट लिमिटेड ने "फ़ैशन/टेक्सटाइल और सर्टिफ़िकेशन में सस्टेनेबिलिटी" पर प्रेजेंटेशन दिया।

 

       मिस्टर सुदीप्तो मंडल, रीजनल सेल्स डायरेक्टर, बार्मैग इंडिया प्राइवेट लिमिटेड (जो परफ़ॉर्मेंस के लिए नॉनवोवन टेक्नोलॉजी इनोवेशन में अग्रणी हैं) और मिस्टर श्रीधर धुमल, रीजनल सेल्स डायरेक्टर, बार्मैग इंडिया प्राइवेट लिमिटेड ने "एक्टिववियर/स्पोर्ट्सवियर के लिए एडवांस्ड मशीनरी पर फ़ोकस | बाइको-कंपोनेंट यार्न की मांग, फ़ाइबर आर्किटेक्चर, मार्केट की जानकारी | बार्मैग बाइको स्पिनिंग टेक्नोलॉजी और कॉन्सेप्ट्स" पर प्रेजेंटेशन दिया।

 

सभी वक्ताओं की प्रस्तुतियों के बाद, प्रतिनिधियों को वक्ताओं के साथ उनकी प्रस्तुति के विषयों पर विचार-विमर्श करने का मौका मिला। सेशन III - पैनल चर्चा

 

सेमिनार के अहम इवेंट्स में से एक था 'टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल्स का भविष्य: इनोवेशन, सस्टेनेबिलिटी और मार्केट की तैयारी' विषय पर पैनल चर्चा। इस चर्चा का संचालन सुविन एक्सपो एलएलपी के मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर श्री अविनाश मयेकर ने किया और पैनल में टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल इंडस्ट्री के सीनियर लीडर्स शामिल थे। पैनल के सदस्यों ने कुछ नए और क्रांतिकारी विचार रखे जो टेक्निकल टेक्सटाइल इंडस्ट्री की ग्रोथ में मददगार हो सकते हैं।

Vapi: 2026/09/03: The Textile Association (India), Mumbai Unit organized One Day Seminar on “Future Trends in Technical Textiles” on 22nd August 2026 at Vapi (Gujarat). The seminar was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri Pramod Khosla, Chairman & Managing Director, Khosla Profil Pvt. Ltd.

 

Inaugural Session

 

Mr. R. R. Patil, Vice President, TAI, Mumbai Unit delivered welcome address. In his speech, he welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. Pramod Khosla, Chairman & Managing Director, Khosla Profil Pvt. Ltd., Key Note Speaker Dr. Ing. Mohit Raina Managing Director, Raina Industries Pvt.Ltd. He also welcomed, the Lifetime Achievement Awardee, Mr. Vipin Kalra, Chairman, Madura Industrial Textiles Ltd and the Industrial Excellence Awardee – Mr. Chakresh Jain, Group President -Technical, Supreme Nonwovens Industries Pvt Limited, Speakers, Press, Media and delegates.

 

Mr. R. K. Vij, President, The Textile Association (India) while addressing the seminar highlighted the growing importance of technical textiles in sectors such as healthcare, infrastructure, automotive, defence, agriculture and aerospace. He said the future of the sector will be driven by high-performance materials, smart textiles and sustainability. He emphasised the need for greater collaboration among industry, academia, research institutions and government to promote innovation, testing, skill development and commercialisation. Shri Vij said, India, with its strong textile base and large domestic market, has a significant opportunity to emerge as a global hub for technical textiles, innovation and advanced applications. He called upon the industry to convert ideas into partnerships, new products and commercial opportunities, and expressed hope that the seminar would lead to greater collaboration and action.

 

Dr. Gurudas Aras, Seminar Advisor and Trustee, TAI, Mumbai Unit while giving his address highlighted the growing importance of technical textiles in Indian textile industry. Dr. Aras said technical textiles are transforming textiles from conventional products into high-performance engineering solutions for infrastructure, healthcare, defence, agriculture, automobiles, filtration, sports and other advanced applications. He emphasised that India has significant advantages, including a strong textile manufacturing base, skilled capabilities across the value chain and a large domestic market. He called for greater investment in R&D, indigenous technology, industry-academia collaboration, testing, certification and start-up innovation. Dr. Aras stressed that India’s ambition should go beyond import substitution and focus on becoming a global innovation and manufacturing hub for technical textiles. He emphasized that the transition from “textiles as products” to “textiles as solutions” will define the next chapter of the Indian textile industry and urged industry stakeholders to actively contribute to creating this future.

 

Mr. Pramod Khosla, Chairman & Managing Director, Khosla Profil Pvt. Ltd., in his inaugural address, highlighted the journey of innovation over the past four decades and brought out the salient features of Indian industry penetrating in to one of the key nations having significant growth in high-performance textiles especially filtration fabrics and allied technical textile sector.

 

Dr. Ing. Mohit Raina, Managing Director, Raina Industries Private Limited in his Keynote address said that the innovation in technical textiles focuses on the performance and interdisciplinary approach to harness the high performance of textiles for specialized application in building material, construction, infrastructure and marine sector. He reiterated that innovation is key factor for developing the raw material and yarn for specialized application especially in textile reinforced concrete Technology in India. His work in the technical textiles in this field is awarded national award.

 

The Textile Association (India), Mumbai Unit felicitated Mr. Vipan Kalra, Chairman, Madura Industrial Textiles Ltd. with “The Lifetime Achievement Award” and Mr. Chakresh Jain, Group President – Technical, Supreme Nonwovens Industries Pvt. Ltd. with “The Industry Excellence Award” for their outstanding contribution in their respective field of technical textiles.

TECHNICAL SESSIONS

 

SESSION – I

 

During the technical session I, following papers were presented by the eminent speakers.

 

       Mr. Varqha Bagwan, Scientific Researcher | Country Representative – India, Fabric Production, ITA – Institut für Textiltechnik of RWTH Aachen University, Germany made the presentation on “From Traditional to Technical Textiles: A Transformation Roadmap for Indian Manufacturers”.

 

       Mr. Shridhar Dixit, General Manager - Sales & Marketing, Yamuna Machine Works Pvt. Ltd. presented the paper on “Advanced Coating & Lamination Architectures for Technical Textiles”.

         

       Mr. Manish Mashilkar, Sr. Manager-Sales and Mr. Deepak Karade, Deputy General Manager, Textile Engineering Group – Processing, A. T. E. Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. made the presentation on “Warp Knitting Technical Textiles and Coating Technology for Technical Textiles”.

         

       Mrs. Manjiri Paranjape, Vice President (R&D), Rossari Biotech Ltd. made the presentation on “Elevating Athletic Performance with Textile Finishes”.

         

       Mr. Anish Jiwarajka, Executive Director, Jiwarajka Textile Industries presented the paper on “Technical Textiles — From Yarn to Performance”.

         

The papers were well received by the delegates as witnessed by formal and informal interaction with each speaker

 

SESSION – II

 

During the technical session II, following five papers were presented by the eminent speakers.

 

       Mr. Avinash Misar, Director & CEO, Coreshield Industries Pvt. Ltd. made the presentation on “Emerging Growth Opportunities - Protective Textiles”.

           

       Mr. Dayal Mehta JAIN, CEO & Business Evangelist, Alliance of Indian Technical Textile Industries & Startups (AiTTiS), Country Head & CGO, AF. Corp., Taiwan presented paper on “Startup Opportunities in Technical Textiles: From Innovation to Commercialisation”.

           

       Mr. Paresh Shah, Business Head, Rabatex Industries Private Limited made the presentation on “Technical Textiles Innovation & Machinery Excellence”.

           

       Mr. Abhishek Shankar Kamble, Director, Clean Globe India Pvt. Ltd. made the presentation on “Sustainability in Fashion / Textile & Certification”.

           

       Mr. Sudipto Mandal, Regional Sales Director, Barmag India Pvt. Ltd. and Leading Nonwoven Technology Innovation engineered for Performance and Mr. Shridhar Dhumal - Regional Sales Director, Barmag India Pvt. Ltd. made the presentation on “Focus on Advance Machinery for Activewear/Sportswear | Bico-Component Yarn Demand, Fiber Architectures, Market Insights | Barmag Bico Spinning Technology & Concepts”.

 

At the end of presentations by all the speakers, delegates got an opportunity to exchange ideas with the speakers on their respective areas of presentation.

 

SESSION III- PANEL DISCUSSION

 

A Panel Discussion on the topic ‘“Future of Technical Textiles: Innovation, Sustainability & Market Readiness’ was featured as one of the important events of the seminar. The discussions were moderated by Mr. Avinash Mayekar, Managing Director, Suvin Expo LLP and the panel was comprised of senior leaders from the technical textile industry. The panel members came up with some radical thoughts which could be helpful for the growth of Technical Textile industry.
