The counting of votes for Meghalaya Assembly election will be held on Thursday, March 2 from 8 am. The Election Commission of India has set up 13 counting centres for the counting of votes for the 59 assembly constituencies of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. Ahead of the counting, security measures have been beefed up across the state and at all EVM strong rooms security has been strengthened with up to three layers of security in place. The postal ballots will be counted first and the votes polled in the EVMs will then be counted.

The counting of votes for Meghalaya Assembly Election 2023 will begin from 8 AM on March 2. The voting for 59 assembly constituencies of the Meghalaya was held on February 27 and an 85.17 per cent voter turnout was recorded.
