मुंबई: 2023/03/07:  कपास की गांठों के अनिवार्य प्रमाणीकरण के लिए गुणवत्ता नियंत्रण आदेश भारतीय उद्योग के लिए अच्छा है क्योंकि देश से निर्यात होने वाले कपास की गुणवत्ता में सुधार की आवश्यकता है। थॉमस वर्गीस, बिजनेस हेड - आदित्य बिड़ला ग्रुप,  ने कहा। वे कुछ दिन पहले यहां एसोचैम शिखर सम्मेलन से इतर बोल रहे थे।

 

उन्होंने कहा, "अगर उन्होंने गुणवत्ता नियंत्रण पर कुछ किया है तो यह उद्योग के लिए अच्छा है। कपास अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर व्यापार की जाने वाली वस्तु है। भारत दुनिया में कपास का सबसे बड़ा उत्पादक है। जाहिर है, देश से बाहर आपको निर्यात किए जाने वाले कपास की गुणवत्ता में सुधार करने की आवश्यकता है।" । इसे अंतरराष्ट्रीय मानकों को पूरा करना चाहिए।"

  

सरकार कह चुकी है कि उसने कपड़ा उद्योग को अच्छी गुणवत्ता वाले कपास की आपूर्ति बढ़ाने के लिए कपास की गांठों के अनिवार्य प्रमाणीकरण के लिए गुणवत्ता नियंत्रण आदेश को मंजूरी दे दी है। 

 

एक दिन पहले, कपास मूल्य श्रृंखला के लिए पहल की प्रगति की समीक्षा करने के लिए यहां वस्त्र सलाहकार समूह के साथ पांचवीं इंटरैक्टिव बैठक में निर्णय लिया गया था।

 

कपड़ा और वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। उन्होंने बताया कि भारतीय कपास फाइबर की गुणवत्ता किसानों और उद्योग दोनों के लिए फायदेमंद है।

There is a need to improve the quality of cotton exported from the country, says Aditya Birla Group's Thomas Varghese

 

Mumbai: 2023/03/07: The Quality Control Order for mandatory certification of cotton bales is good for the Indian industry as there is a need to improve the quality of cotton exported from the country. Thomas Varghese, Business Head - Textiles at Aditya Birla Group, said. He was speaking on the sidelines of an Assocham Summit here a few days ago.

 

He said "If they have done anything on quality control it is good for the industry. Cotton is an internationally traded commodity and India is the largest producer of cotton in the world. So obviously, you need to improve the quality of cotton which is exported out of the country. It must meet international standards."

  

The government said it has approved the Quality Control Order for mandatory certification of cotton bales to augment the supply of good quality cotton to the textile industry.

  

A day before, the decision was taken at the fifth interactive meeting with the Textile Advisory Group here to review the progress of initiatives for cotton value chain.

 

Minister for Textiles and Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal presided over the meeting. He pointed out that the quality of Indian cotton fibre is beneficial for farmers and industry both.
