मुंबई: 2023/09/25: कपड़ा और वस्त्र क्षेत्रों में वैश्विक बाजार में अवसर का लाभ उठाने का समय आ गया है।  वैश्विक बाजार में अवसर का लाभ उठाने के लिए कपड़ा और परिधान क्षेत्रों में दीर्घकालिक दृष्टि के साथ एक समग्र दृष्टिकोण होना चाहिए।

 

कृषि के बाद कपड़ा और कपड़ा उद्योग दूसरा सबसे बड़ा रोजगार प्रदाता है। यह माल और सेवा कर राजस्व के रूप में 30,000 करोड़ रुपये और 44 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर की विदेशी मुद्रा आय अर्जित करता है।

 

हाल के दिनों में उद्योगों को मुख्य रूप से कच्चे माल के मोर्चे पर संरचनात्मक मुद्दों, उत्पादन की उच्च लागत, संचालन के पैमाने और अन्य कारणों से चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।

 

संघों को संरचनात्मक मुद्दों को संबोधित करने और वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता बढ़ाने का प्रयास करना चाहिए।

 

एनडीए सरकार कपड़ा और कपड़ा उद्योग की वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता बढ़ाने पर जोर दे रही है और कई मुद्दों पर ध्यान दिया है।

 

हालाँकि, कुछ क्षेत्रों में नीतिगत खामियाँ और कच्चे माल के आधार को मजबूत करने, सरकारी बकाया वापस करने में देरी उद्योग को निरंतर विकास दर हासिल करने में प्रभावित कर रही है।

 

हालांकि कई राज्य आकर्षक प्रोत्साहन प्रदान करते हैं, लेकिन प्रतिबद्ध लाभों को समय पर वितरित करने में अनुचित देरी होती है जिसके परिणामस्वरूप नए निवेश के लिए कई वित्तीय तनाव होते हैं। 

 

इस परिदृश्य में, न केवल कपड़ा व्यापार में चीन द्वारा खाली की गई जगह को हथियाने के लिए बल्कि निरंतर विकास दर हासिल करने के लिए दीर्घकालिक दृष्टि के साथ समग्र दृष्टिकोण रखना आवश्यक हो गया है। 

 

ऐसी उम्मीद है कि यूनाइटेड किंगडम और यूरोपीय संघ के साथ मुक्त व्यापार समझौता देश को अपने निर्यात को दोगुना करने में सक्षम बनाएगा।

Mumbai: 2023/09/25:  The time has come to take advantage of the opportunity in the global market in textile and clothing sectors. Textile and clothing sectors must have a holistic approach with a long-term vision to seize the opportunity in the global market.

 

Textiles and clothing industries are the second largest employment provider after agriculture generating Rs 30,000 crore as Goods and Services Tax revenue and USD 44 billion foreign exchange earnings.

 

The industries have been facing challenges in the recent past mainly due to structural issues on the raw material front, high cost of production, scale of operation among others.

 

The Associations should strive to address structural issues and enhance global competitiveness.

 

The NDA government has been giving major thrust for enhancing the global competitiveness of the textiles and clothing industry and addressed several issues. 

 

However, the policy pitfalls in certain areas and delay in strengthening the raw material base, refunding government dues have been affecting the industry to achieve a sustained growth rate. 

 

Though several States provide attractive incentives, there is an undue delay in disbursing the committed benefits on time resulting in several financial stress for the new investments made. 

 

Under this scenario, it has become essential to have a holistic approach with long term vision not only to grab the space vacated by China in the textile trade but also to achieve a sustained growth rate. 

 

There is a hope the free trade agreement with the United Kingdom and the European Union would enable the country to double its exports.
