India's Oct power consumption rises by nearly 22% ।। भारत की अक्टूबर बिजली खपत लगभग 22% बढ़ी

 

 

नई दिल्ली: 02 नवंबर 2023: अक्टूबर में भारत की बिजली खपत लगभग 22 प्रतिशत बढ़कर 138.94 बिलियन यूनिट (बीयू) हो गई। सरकारी आंकड़ों से पता चला है। इसका अर्थ है कि त्योहारों और बढ़ी हुई आर्थिक गतिविधियों के कारण बिजली की मांग में वृद्धि हुई है।

 

पिछले साल अक्टूबर में बिजली की खपत 113.94 बीयू थी, जो अक्टूबर 2021 में दर्ज 112.79 बीयू से अधिक है।

 

चरम बिजली की मांग पूरी हुई है। एक दिन में सबसे अधिक आपूर्ति - अक्टूबर में बढ़कर 221.62 गीगावॉट हो गई। पिछले साल इसी महीने में यह 186.90 गीगावॉट और अक्टूबर 2021 में 174.44 गीगावॉट थी।

 

हालाँकि, अधिकतम आपूर्ति जून में 224.1 गीगावॉट की नई ऊंचाई को छू गई, लेकिन जुलाई में गिरकर 209.03 गीगावॉट पर आ गई।

 

अगस्त में अधिकतम मांग 238.19 गीगावॉट और सितंबर में 240.17 गीगावॉट तक पहुंच गई।

 

विशेषज्ञ अगस्त और सितंबर में बिजली की खपत में वृद्धि का श्रेय मुख्य रूप से आर्द्र मौसम की स्थिति और त्योहारी सीजन से पहले औद्योगिक गतिविधियों में वृद्धि को देते हैं।

 

उन्होंने कहा कि अक्टूबर में बिजली खपत में दोहरे अंक की वृद्धि उत्सवों और बेहतर आर्थिक गतिविधियों के प्रभाव को दर्शाती है।

 

उन्होंने कहा कि आने वाले महीनों में बिजली की खपत में वृद्धि स्थिर रहेगी।

New Delhi: 02 Nov 2023:  India’s power consumption in October increased by close to 22 per cent to 138.94 billion units (BU), implying a rise in electricity demand due to festivities and increased economic activities, government data show.

 

Power consumption stood at 113.94 BU in October last year, higher than 112.79 BU recorded in October 2021.

 

The peak power demand met—the highest supply in a day—increased to 221.62 GW in October, a news agency reported. It was 186.90 GW in the same month last year and 174.44 GW in October 2021.

 

The peak supply, however, touched a new high of 224.1 GW in June before dropping to 209.03 GW in July.

 

Peak demand touched 238.19 GW in August and 240.17 GW in September.

 

Experts attribute the rise in power consumption in August and September primarily to humid weather conditions and a rise in industrial activities ahead of the festive season.

 

The double-digit growth in power consumption in October reflects the impact of festivities and better economic activities, they said.

 

Power consumption growth will be steady in coming months, they added.
