हैदराबाद:2023/11/03: आंध्र प्रदेश में कपड़ा उद्योग ने कहा है कि स्थानीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय कठिनाइयों के संयोजन के परिणामस्वरूप आधा दर्जन मिलें बंद हो गई हैं, जबकि कई अन्य बंद होने के कगार पर हैं। उद्योग ने चेतावनी दी है कि सरकार से तत्काल वित्तीय सहायता के बिना, वह अपनी वित्तीय प्रतिबद्धताओं को पूरा करने में असमर्थ होगा। आंध्र प्रदेश टेक्सटाइल मिल्स एसोसिएशन (एपीटीएमए) ने राज्य के कपड़ा क्षेत्र की गंभीर स्थिति के बारे में गंभीर चिंता व्यक्त की है।

एपीटीएमए के अध्यक्ष एल रघुराम रेड्डी, पी कोटि राव और अन्य अधिकारियों ने मीडिया को सूचित किया है कि आंध्र प्रदेश में कपड़ा उद्योग कई चुनौतियों से जूझ रहा है, जैसे कपास की बढ़ती कीमतें, धागे की गिरती कीमतें, बिजली शुल्क में वृद्धि और बाजार में असंतुलन । इन कारकों ने उद्योग की वित्तीय सेहत और परिचालन स्थिरता को महत्वपूर्ण रूप से प्रभावित किया है।

 

हालाँकि आंध्र प्रदेश की कपड़ा मिलें, मुख्य रूप से कताई मिलें, घरेलू और वैश्विक चुनौतियों का सामना कर रही हैं, एसोसिएशन राज्य के विशिष्ट मुद्दों पर अधिक ध्यान केंद्रित कर रहा है। एसोसिएशन ने राज्य सरकार से विभिन्न सब्सिडी के लिए तुरंत Rs 1,500 करोड़ जारी करने का आह्वान किया है। इसने Rs 192 करोड़ की लंबित बिजली सब्सिडी का वितरण करने के लिए भी कहा है। इसके अतिरिक्त, सरकार से पड़ोसी राज्य तेलंगाना की तरह प्रति यूनिट Rs 2 की बिजली सब्सिडी प्रदान करने का आग्रह किया गया है। हालिया बिजली शुल्क शुल्क, ट्रू-अप शुल्क और एफपीसीसीआई शुल्क से भी छूट दी जानी चाहिए।

 

एसोसिएशन ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला है कि इन चुनौतियों के कारण कई मिलें अपने वित्तीय दायित्वों को पूरा करने और बैंक किस्त भुगतान को पूरा करने के लिए संघर्ष कर रही हैं। छह कपड़ा मिलों का परिचालन पहले ही बंद हो चुका है और कई अन्य बंद होने की कगार पर हैं। एपीटीएमए ने कपड़ा उद्योग को समर्थन देने के लिए तत्काल हस्तक्षेप के लिए राज्य सरकार से आग्रह किया है।

Hyderabad:2023/11/03:  The textile industry in Andhra Pradesh has stated that a combination of local and international difficulties has resulted in the closure of half a dozen mills, with several others on the brink of shutting down. The industry warns that without urgent financial assistance from the government, it will be unable to meet its financial commitments. The Andhra Pradesh Textile Mills’ Association (APTMA) has voiced grave concerns regarding the dire situation facing the state's textile sector.

APTMA chairman L Raghuram Reddy, P Koti Rao, and other officials have informed the media that the textile industry in Andhra Pradesh is grappling with a series of challenges, such as rising cotton prices, falling yarn prices, increasing power charges, and market imbalances following COVID. These factors have significantly affected the industry's financial health and operational stability.

 

Although Andhra Pradesh’s textile mills, primarily spinning mills, are confronting domestic and global challenges, the Association has been more focused on issues specific to the state. The association has called for the state government to immediately release Rs 1,500 crore for various subsidies. It has also asked for the pending power subsidy of Rs 192 crore to be disbursed. Additionally, the government is urged to provide an electricity subsidy of Rs 2 per unit, like what the neighbouring state of Telangana has received. Exemptions from recent electricity duty charges, true-up charges, and FPCCI charges should also be granted.

 

The association has highlighted that numerous mills are struggling to fulfil their financial obligations and meet bank instalment payments due to these challenges. Six textile mills have already ceased operations, and several others are on the precipice of closure. APTMA has made an urgent plea to the state government for immediate intervention to support the textile industry.
