B. K. Mehta Technology Networking Mission and B. K. Mehta Virtual Modern Library to be inaugurated at ITAMMA

 

 

Mumbai:  “B. K. Mehta Technology Networking Mission” and “B. K. Mehta Virtual Modern Library” to be inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister of Textiles on 27th March 2021 at ITAMMA, Mumbai.

 

In 1988 when Shri B.K. Mehta, Visionary & Past-President(in the years 1953, 1962, 1966, 1978) and also as a Trustee for four decades of  ITAMMA, categorically suggested that ITAMMA should take up activities which will make its members and the organization very strong in terms of system, technology and R&D.  Considering his passion for R&D, in 1988 established “B K Mehta Endowment Fund” in appreciation of his yeomen and meritorious services to the Association.  

 

Today Mrs. Hansaben Mehta taking forward the family tradition and has generously donated funds for the development of “B. K. Mehta Technology Networking Mission” to be organized in State-of-the-Art Conference Room equipped with  “B. K. Mehta Virtual Modern Library.”

 

“B. K. Mehta Technology Networking Mission” will give an opportunity to Students from different Textile Institutes to interact in physical meeting with the Textile Technologists and Experts specialized in Metallurgy, Automation, Mechanisms, Heat Treatment, Surface Finishing, Systems, Oil, Engineering, Lubricant, Lean, Technologists, Company Turnaround, 3D modeling, Mechatronics, Reverse Engineering, 6 Sigma, Theory of Constraints, etc. and well connected with the Textile Industry. Also there will be live and Virtual interaction of Experts, Students, Industrialists and Government bodies on Technology networking and exploring opportunities for finalizing joint projects further leading to Atma Nirbhar Bharat. This initiative will provide opportunities to Students for placement as per their field of interest and Industrialists for the selection of appropriate man-power as per their requirement. Thus helping Indian Textile Engineering Industry to develop their technological set-up and bringing on the surface the talent and the low-cost technologies available with the Students. The Project will be initiated from the month of May 2021 and we will intimate you about the same very shortly, whereby the travel and food, etc. of the Students and Experts invited for this Mission at ITAMMA will be taken care under “B K Mehta Endowment Fund.”

 

The access to “B. K. Mehta Virtual Modern Library” and the DATA as required by the Student will be made available to him/she in a PEN DRIVE absolutely on complimentary basis under “B K Mehta Endowment Fund.”

 

On this auspicious day we will be launching ITAMMA’s State-of-the-Art Conference Room equipped with B. K. Mehta Virtual Modern Library.
