नई दिल्‍ली : 2022/07/25 :  कपास मूल्य श्रृंखला से संबंधित मुख्य मुद्दों पर विस्तार से विचार-विमर्श के लिए भारतीय कृषि और कपड़ा मंत्रियों के स्तर पर अपनी तरह की पहली बैठक की गई। एक आधिकारिक विज्ञप्ति में ऐसा कहा गया है।

 

कपड़ा मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने निजी क्षेत्र से उत्पादकता, किसानों की शिक्षा और ब्रांडिंग में अनुसंधान को बढ़ावा देने के लिए योगदान देने का आग्रह किया और  कहा कि सरकार समान सहायता प्रदान करेगी।

 

घरेलू सूती कपड़ा मूल्य श्रृंखला के हितधारकों की बैठक में उद्योग जगत के प्रमुखों और सरकारी अधिकारियों को परिणाम-उन्मुख लक्ष्य दिए गए।

 

गोयल ने कहा कि सरकार प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के '5F' विजन पर काम कर रही है। फार्म से फाइबर; कारखाने के लिए फाइबर; फैशन के लिए कारखाना; विदेशी के लिए फैशन।

 

उन्होंने सभी स्‍टेकहोल्‍डर से किसानों की आय बढ़ाने के लिए भारत में कपास उत्पादकता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं को साझा करने का आग्रह किया।

 

उन्होंने कहा कि सही बीजों के बारे में जागरूकता पैदा करके और किसानों को आधुनिक तकनीक और प्रगतिशील कृषि पद्धतियों को अपनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करके कपास किसानों के लिए उपज और लाभ मार्जिन बढ़ाना महत्वपूर्ण है।

 

कृषि और किसान कल्याण मंत्री नरेंद्र तोमर ने कहा कि देश के बड़े हिस्से में कपास की उत्पादकता बढ़ाने के लिए उच्च घनत्व वाली खेती और सूक्ष्म सिंचाई महत्वपूर्ण हैं।

 

उन्होंने कहा कि कपास उत्पादन और उत्पादकता में वृद्धि देश में रोजगार वृद्धि के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है ।

Meeting discusses core issues pertaining to Indian cotton value chain

New Delhi : 2022/07/25:  In the first of its kind meeting at the level of Indian ministers of agriculture and textiles, core issues pertaining to cotton value chain were deliberated at length. An official release said.

 

Textiles minister Piyush Goyal urged the private sector to contribute to boost research in productivity, farmers education and branding and the government would offer matching support.

 

The meeting involving stakeholders of the domestic cotton textile value chain assigned outcome-oriented targets to industry captains and government functionaries.

 

The government is working on the ‘5F’ vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi: farm to fibre; fibre to factory; factory to fashion; fashion to foreign, Goyal said.

 

He urged all stakeholders to share best practices to boost cotton productivity in India to boost farmer incomes.

 

It is vital to raise yield and profit margins for cotton farmers by creating awareness about right seeds and encouraging farmers to adopt modern technology and progressive agricultural practices, he added.

 

Minister for agriculture and farmer’s welfare Narendra Tomar said high-density farming and micro-irrigation are key to boosting cotton productivity in large parts of the country.

 

Growth in cotton production and productivity is vital to employment growth in the country, he said.
