नई दिल्‍ली: 27 जुलाई 2022: AfCFTA के साथ व्यापार सौदा भारतीय वस्त्रों के लिए विशाल बाजार खोल सकता है। भारत के वाणिज्य सचिव बीवीआर सुब्रह्मण्यन ने 17वें भारतीय उद्योग परिसंघ (सीआईआई)-एक्ज़िम बैंक सम्मेलन में कहा।

 

उन्‍होंने अफ्रीकी महाद्वीपीय मुक्त व्यापार क्षेत्र (एएफसीएफटीए) के साथ एक व्यापक आर्थिक साझेदारी समझौते की खोज पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया।

 

उन्‍होंने कहा कि यदि भारत एक व्यापार समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करता है तो अफ्रीका में कपड़ा उत्पादों के लिए विशाल बाजार तलाश सकता है। वर्तमान में, भारत अपने टेक्सटाइल उत्पादों का 5 प्रतिशत से भी कम महाद्वीप को निर्यात करता है।

 

 

भारतीय अधिकारी इस मुद्दे पर अफ्रीकी समकक्षों के साथ बातचीत करेंगे ताकि देश की दुनियां के सबसे बड़े मुक्त व्यापार क्षेत्र में बेहतर पहुंच हो सके।

 

पिछले साल, भारत ने अफ्रीका को 0.743 बिलियन डॉलर के परिधान(apparel) भेजे, जो कि उसके कुल 14.912 बिलियन डॉलर के निर्यात का 4.99 प्रतिशत था। जनवरी-अप्रैल 2022 में, अफ्रीका को परिधान निर्यात $231.328 मिलियन था।

 

होम टेक्सटाइल में, 2021 में भारत के कुल 8.782 बिलियन डॉलर के निर्यात में अफ्रीका की हिस्सेदारी 3.81 प्रतिशत थी। इस साल के पहले चार महीनों में यह आंकड़ा 131.690 मिलियन डॉलर था।

 

अफ्रीका के आयात में भारत की हिस्सेदारी के संदर्भ में, परिधान और घरेलू वस्त्र पिछले वर्ष के दौरान क्रमशः 3.33 प्रतिशत और 9.83 प्रतिशत रहे।

New Delhi: 27 July 2022: The trade deal with AfCFTA could open up a huge market for Indian textiles. Commerce Secretary of India BVR Subrahmanyan said at the 17th Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-Exim Bank Conference.

 

 

They focused on the pursuit of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA).

 

He said that if India signs a trade agreement with Africa, it can find a huge market for textile products. Currently, India exports less than 5 percent of its textile products to the continent.

 

 

Indian officials will hold talks with their African counterparts on the issue so that the country can have better access to the world's largest free trade area.

 

Last year, India shipped apparels worth $0.743 billion to Africa, which was 4.99 percent of its total exports of $14.912 billion. In January-April 2022, apparel exports to Africa were $231.328 million.

 

In home textiles, Africa accounted for 3.81 per cent of India's total exports of $8.782 billion in 2021. The figure stood at $131.690 million in the first four months of this year.

 

In terms of India's share in Africa's imports, apparel and home textiles stood at 3.33 percent and 9.83 percent, respectively, during the previous year.
