नई दिल्ली: 01 सितंबर 2022: उच्च न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य (MSP) भारत में किसानों को अधिक जूट उगाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने में विफल रहा है। जूट और मेस्ता बुवाई का रकबा न केवल पिछले सीजन की तुलना में कम रहा, बल्कि पिछले पांच वर्षों के औसत से भी कम रहा। कृषि मंत्रालय की ओर से जारी ताजा आंकड़ों के मुताबिक 26 अगस्त तक 6.94 लाख हेक्टेयर में बुवाई पूरी हो चुकी है.

केंद्र सरकार ने 2022-23 सीज़न के लिए कच्चे जूट की किस्म TD5 के लिए MSP 250 रुपये बढ़ाकर 4,750 रुपये प्रति क्विंटल कर दिया था। मंत्रालय के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, जूट और मेस्ता बुवाई का रकबा पिछले साल के 6.95 लाख हेक्टेयर से घटकर मौजूदा खरीफ सीजन में 6.94 लाख हेक्टेयर हो गया है। फसल का पांच साल का औसत बुवाई क्षेत्र 7.09 लाख हेक्टेयर है। यह दर्शाता है कि किसानों ने अधिक जूट उगाने के लिए रुचि नहीं ली है।

 

मंत्रालय की रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि बुवाई का रकबा 2018 में 7.29 लाख हेक्टेयर था, जो 2017 में 7.06 लाख हेक्टेयर था। 2019 में यह क्षेत्र 6.99 लाख हेक्टेयर, 2020 में 6.94 लाख हेक्टेयर और 2021 में 6.95 लाख हेक्टेयर दर्ज किया गया था।

 

राज्यवार विश्लेषण से पता चला है कि असम, पश्चिम बंगाल और मेघालय में जूट बुवाई क्षेत्र में गिरावट आई है, लेकिन बिहार में रकबा बढ़ा है। चालू सीजन में रकबा घटकर 4.98 लाख हेक्टेयर रह गया, जो पिछले साल पश्चिम बंगाल में 5 लाख हेक्टेयर था, जो देश का सबसे बड़ा उत्पादक राज्य है। लेकिन बिहार में रकबा पिछले साल के 0.96 लाख हेक्टेयर से बढ़कर चालू सीजन में 1.11 लाख हेक्टेयर हो गया है।

New Delhi: 01 Sep 2022:  Higher Minimum Support Price (MSP) has failed to encourage farmers to grow more jute in India. The jute and mesta sowing area remained lower not only compared to the last season but also below the average of the last five years. According to the latest data released by the ministry of agriculture, sowing was completed on 6.94 lakh ha till August 26.

The Central government had increased MSP for TD5, a raw jute variety, by ₹250 to ₹4,750 per quintal for the 2022-23 season. According to the ministry data, jute and mesta sowing area has decreased from 6.95 lakh ha last year to 6.94 lakh ha during the current kharif season. Five-year average sowing area of the crop is 7.09 lakh ha. It shows that farmers have not taken interest to grow more jute.

 

The ministry report said that the sowing area peaked at 7.29 lakh ha in 2018 from 7.06 lakh ha in 2017. The area was noted at 6.99 lakh ha in 2019, 6.94 lakh ha in 2020, and 6.95 lakh ha in 2021.

 

State-wise analysis revealed that the jute sowing area declined in Assam, West Bengal and Meghalaya, but the acreage increased in Bihar. The acreage declined to 4.98 lakh ha in the current season from 5 lakh ha of last year in West Bengal, which is the largest producing state in the country. But the area improved in Bihar from 0.96 lakh ha last year to 1.11 lakh ha in the current season.
