तिरुपुर: 2022/10/28: कपड़ा मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने कपड़ा निर्माताओं से कपास की ट्रेसबिलिटी और कपास उत्पादों के बेहतर मूल्य को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए रणनीति पर चर्चा करने का आग्रह किया। गोयल बुधवार को निर्यात संवर्धन परिषदों, भारतीय कपड़ा उद्योग परिसंघ, तिरुपुर एक्सपोर्टर्स एसोसिएशन और द सदर्न इंडिया मिल्स एसोसिएशन के सदस्यों से वरचुअल मुलाकात कर रहे थे। 

उन्होंने कहा कि अगले 5-6 वर्षों में लक्ष्य 100 अरब डॉलर का कपड़ा निर्यात हासिल करना है, जो पिछले साल 42 अरब डॉलर था। उन्होंने कहा कि अगर यह हासिल किया जाता है, तो घरेलू और अंतरराष्ट्रीय भारतीय कपड़ा उद्योग का इस क्षेत्र का आर्थिक मूल्य 250 अरब डॉलर का होगा। 

गुरुवार को एक अलग बैठक में, उन्होंने शुद्ध टेरेफ्थेलिक एसिड, मोनो एथिलीन ग्लाइकॉल, फाइबर, यार्न, कपड़े और कपड़ों के उत्पादकों के उद्योग प्रतिनिधियों को आत्म निर्भर बनने का आह्वान किया, जहां घरेलू आपूर्ति से पूरी मांग पूरी होती है। 

मंत्री ने एक आधिकारिक विज्ञप्ति में कहा, "इससे पॉलिएस्टर मूल्य श्रृंखला में शामिल लाखों बुनकरों को कच्चे माल की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित होगी, जिससे तैयार माल का उत्पादन बढ़ेगा, जिससे निर्यात लक्ष्यों की प्राप्ति हो सकेगी।

Tirupur: 2022/10/28:  Textiles minister Piyush Goyal asked textile manufacturers to start securing cotton to meet demand and urged the industry to discuss the strategy to ensure traceability of cotton and better value of the cotton products. Goyal virtually met the members of export promotion councils, Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, Tirupur Exporters Association and The Southern India Mills' Association on Wednesday.

He also said that the aim is to achieve $100 billion textile exports in the next 5-6 years from $42 billion last year. He mentioned that if achieved, the economic value of the sector will be $250 billion collectively for domestic and international.

In a separate meeting on Thursday, he called upon the industry representatives of producers of purified terephthalic acid, mono ethylene glycol, fibre, yarn, fabric and garments to become Atma Nirbhar where the entire demand is fulfilled by domestic supply. 

"This will secure the raw material availability to lakhs of weavers involved in the polyester value chain, thereby leading to enhanced production of finished goods, enabling realisation of the export targets," the minister was quoted in an official release.
