मुंबई: 24 जनवरी 2023: दक्षिण भारत में सूती धागे की कीमतें आज स्थिर रहीं क्योंकि बुनाई उद्योग से मांग उत्साहजनक नहीं थी। विस्तारित सर्दियों का मौसम सूती धागे के व्यापार में बाधा बन रहा है क्योंकि गर्मियों के कपड़ों के मौसम में देरी होने की संभावना है। पूरी वैल्यू चेन गर्मी के मौसम का इंतजार कर रही है क्योंकि इस मौसम में सूती कपड़ों की मांग बढ़ जाती है।

मुंबई में सूती धागे के अधिकांश काउंट और किस्मों की कीमतें स्थिर रहीं। बुनाई उद्योग से खरीदारी में अनिश्चितता के कारण बाजार धारणा कमजोर रही। यह सर्दी का मौसम सामान्य से अधिक लंबा है। व्यापारिक गतिविधियां सीमित थीं क्योंकि खरीदार आगामी गर्मी के मौसम के लिए सूती धागे खरीदने की जल्दी में नहीं हैं।

 

मुंबई में ताने और बाने की किस्मों के 60 काउंट कार्डेड सूती धागे का कारोबार क्रमश: 1,540-1,570 रुपये प्रति 5 किलोग्राम और 1,440-1,490 रुपये प्रति 5 किलोग्राम (जीएसटी अतिरिक्त) पर हुआ। 60 काउंट कॉम्बेड ताने की कीमत 345-350 रुपये प्रति किलो थी। 80 काउंट कार्डेड (वेट) सूती धागे की कीमत 1,470-1,490 रुपये प्रति 4.5 किलोग्राम थी। 44/46 काउंट कार्डेड कॉटन यार्न (ताना) की कीमत 275-280 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम थी। 40/41 काउंट कार्डेड कॉटन यार्न (ताना) 262-268 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम और 40/41 काउंट कार्डेड कॉटन यार्न (वार्प) 290-293 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम की दर से बेचा गया।

 

तिरुपुर में सूती धागे की कीमतें भी स्थिर रहीं। बुनाई खंड के खरीदार बाजार से नदारद थे जबकि पावरलूम और बड़ी बुनाई इकाइयां संभावित मांग के अनुसार कपड़े का उत्पादन कर रही थीं। तिरुपुर बाजार में 30 काउंट कॉम्बेड सूती धागे का कारोबार 285-290 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम (जीएसटी अतिरिक्त), 34 काउंट कॉम्बेड का 300-305 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम और 40 काउंट कॉम्बेड का 310-315 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम पर कारोबार हुआ। 30 काउंट कार्डेड सूती धागा 255-260 रुपये प्रति किलो, 34 काउंट कार्डेड 265-270 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम और 40 काउंट कार्डेड 270-275 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम की दर से बिके।

 

गुजरात में कपास 356 किलोग्राम प्रति कैंडी 61,500 रुपये से 62,500 रुपये प्रति कैंडी पर कारोबार कर रहा था। आवक बढ़ने से कीमतों में गिरावट आई है। किसानों ने बीज कपास को कम कीमतों पर बेचने में दिलचस्पी नहीं दिखाई, जो लगभग 1,710-1,720 रुपये प्रति 20 किलोग्राम पर बेचा गया।

Cotton yarn steady in south India; demand weak due to extended winter

Mumbai: 24 Jan 2023: Cotton yarn prices remained stable in south India today as demand from the weaving industry was not encouraging. Extended winter season is hampering cotton yarn trade because the summer clothing season is likely to be delayed. The entire value chain is looking forward to the summer season as the demand for cotton clothing increases in this season.

Prices of most counts and varieties of cotton yarn were stable in Mumbai. Market sentiments were weak because of uncertainty in buying from the weaving industry. This winter season is longer than usual. Trading activities were limited because buyers are not in a hurry to buy cotton yarn for the upcoming summer season.

 

In Mumbai, 60 count carded cotton yarn of warp and weft varieties were traded at Rs.1,540-1,570 per 5 kg and Rs.1,440-1,490 per 5 kg (GST extra) respectively. 60 count combed warp was priced at Rs.345-350 per kg. 80 count carded (weft) cotton yarn was sold at Rs.1,470-1,490 per 4.5 kg. 44/46 count carded cotton yarn (warp) was priced at Rs.275-280 per kg. 40/41 count carded cotton yarn (warp) was sold at Rs.262-268 per kg and 40/41 count combed yarn (warp) was priced at Rs.290-293 per kg.

 

Cotton yarn prices in Tiruppur were also steady. Buyers from the weaving segment were absent from the market even as power looms and large weaving units were producing fabrics as per potential demand. 30 count combed cotton yarn was traded atRs.285-290 per kg (GST extra), 34 count combed at Rs.300-305 per kg and 40 count combed at Rs.310-315 per kg in the Tiruppur market. Cotton yarn of 30 count carded was sold at Rs.255-260 per kg, 34 count carded at Rs.265-270 per kg and 40 count carded at Rs.270-275 per kg.

 

In Gujarat, cotton was traded lower at Rs.61,500 to Rs.62,500 per candy of 356 kg. The prices decreased because of increased arrival. Farmers were not interested in selling seed cotton at lower prices, which was sold at around Rs.1,710-1,720 per 20 kg.
