मुंबई, दिनांक: 11 जनवरी, 2023:  4 दशकों से अधिक समय से पुरुषों के फैशन में भारत के सबसे बड़े टेक्सटाइल ब्रांडों में से एक, सियाराम, नेत्रहीन कल्याण संगठन के साथ पिछले 9 वर्षों से जुड़ा हुआ है। इसने  एक अंतर-सम्मेलन का आयोजन करके क्रिकेट के लिए नेत्रहीनों के जुनून को सलाम पेश किया। राज्य स्तरीय ब्लाइंड क्रिकेट कप को "सियाराम्‍स कप" कहा जाता है। यह अपनी तरह का अनूठा आयोजन है जो हर साल आयोजित किया जाता है।

अखिल भारतीय टूर्नामेंट देश भर के 8 अलग-अलग राज्यों - महाराष्ट्र, पंजाब, गुजरात, मध्य प्रदेश, राजस्थान, दिल्ली, गोवा और कर्नाटक की टीमों के साथ 3 दिवसीय आयोजन था। यह टूर्नामेंट 11 से 13 जनवरी, 2023 तक मुंबई में आयोजित किया गया था, जिसमें पीजे हिंदू जिमखाना मरीन लाइन्स, मुंबई में मैच आयोजित किए गए थे।

टीमों ने जिस उत्साह और उत्साह के साथ खेला, वह वास्तव में देखने लायक था! तीन दिवसीय कार्यक्रम का समापन गुजरात की टीम ने टूर्नामेंट जीतकर किया और महाराष्ट्र की टीम ने उपविजेता का खिताब हासिल किया।

इस अवसर पर सियाराम्‍स के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक श्री रमेश पोद्दार ने कहा, 'ऐसे कई दृष्टिबाधित लोग हैं जो न केवल क्रिकेट के लिए बल्कि जीवन में भी अपने जुनून का पालन करने के लिए अपनी सीमाओं से परे चले जाते हैं। ब्रांड के बुनियादी मूल्यों - क्षमता', एकजुटता' और ईमानदारी  पर जोर देकर नैतिकता की पुष्टि करते हुए, जो लोगों के जीवन के हर हिस्से में लागू होते हैं, सियाराम ने इस आयोजन के लिए सहयोग किया।  इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य इनका जश्न मनाना है। ऐसे भावुक लोगों के जीवन को अंधेरे से उजाले में लाना टीम सियाराम को उत्साहित करता है।

 

ब्लाइंड क्रिकेट नेत्रहीन और आंशिक दृष्टि वाले खिलाड़ियों के लिए अनुकूलित क्रिकेट का एक संस्करण है। ब्लाइंड्स क्रिकेट में, जब आप गेंद को अपनी ओर आते हुए नहीं देख सकते हैं और आपको केवल एक चीज पर भरोसा करना होता है, जो एक खड़खड़ाहट की तरह लगती है और कुछ शब्द चारों ओर जयकार करते हैं। शारीरिक चुनौती और सीमाओं के बावजूद, खिलाड़ियों को इस खेल को खेलते हुए देखना बहुत ही आश्चर्यजनक था क्योंकि वे पार्क के चारों ओर गेंद को मारते थे।

 

ब्लाइंड क्रिकेट के नियम काफी हद तक क्रिकेट के समान हैं।  केवल उनके खेलने के तरीके में अंतर है। उदाहरण के लिए, जिस गेंद से वे खेलते हैं, वह सफेद होनी चाहिए, बॉल बेयरिंग से भरी हुई... यह आंशिक रूप से देखने वाले खिलाड़ियों को गेंद को देखने की अनुमति देती है और सामग्री नेत्रहीन खिलाड़ियों को इसे सुनने की अनुमति देती है।

 

स्टंप 10 इंच चौड़े होते हैं जिन्हें आंशिक रूप से देखने वाले खिलाड़ी उन्हें देख सकते हैं। नेत्रहीन खिलाड़ी बल्लेबाजी या गेंदबाजी करते समय खुद को सही ढंग से उन्मुख करने के लिए इसे छू सकते हैं। बेल का उपयोग नहीं किया जाता है। वे आमतौर पर 'स्वीप शॉट' का इस्तेमाल करते हैं, ताकि गेंद को बल्ले से टकराने का अधिकतम मौका मिल सके।

Siyaram’s Salutes The Spirit Of Blinds By Sponsoring “Siyaram’s Cup”

Mumbai: 11th January , 2023: Siyaram’s, one of India’s largest textile brands in men’s fashion for over 4 decades, has associated with the Blind Welfare Organisation since past 9 years to salute the passion of the blind for cricket by organising an Inter-State level Blind Cricket Cup called “Siyaram’s Cup”. This is one of its kind event that’s organised annually.

The All-India tournament was a 3 day affair with teams from 8 different states across the country — Maharashtra, Punjab, , Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan,Delhi,Goa & Karanataka. The tournament was held in Mumbai from 11th -13th  January, 2023 with matches held at the PJ Hindu Gymkhana Marine Lines, Mumbai.

The excitement and zeal with which the teams played was truly remarkable to watch! The three-day event ended with the Gujarat team winning the tournament and the Maharashtra team bagging the runner’s up title.

 

With grit, determination and passion these men achieved success, after all people with true passion make the impossible happen no matter the hurdles.

Blind Cricket is a version of cricket adapted for the blind and partially sighted players. In the Blind’s cricket, when you can’t see the ball coming at you and all you have to rely on is something that sounds like a rattle and some words cheering around. Despite the physical challenge and limitations, watching the players play this game was very surprising as they hit the ball around the park.

 

The rules of Blind Cricket are very similar to that of cricket with only differences in the way they play it. For example, the ball that they play with ,has to be white, filled with ball bearings....This allows partially sighted players to see the ball and the contents allow blind players to hear it.

 

The stumps are 10 inches wide such that partially sighted players can see them and blind players can touch it in order to correctly orient themselves when batting or bowling. Bails are not used. They commonly use of the ‘sweep shot’, in order to provide the maximum chance of the bat hitting the ball.
