मुंबई: 23/09/08: इंडियन एनर्जी एक्सचेंज (आईईएक्स) ने अगस्त 2023 के महीने में कारोबार की गई बिजली की मात्रा में 21 प्रतिशत की महत्वपूर्ण वृद्धि दर्ज की है। यह वृद्धि भारत की राष्ट्रीय बिजली खपत में 16 प्रतिशत की उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि के अनुरूप है।  इसी अवधि में 151.66 बिलियन यूनिट तक पहुंच गया। IEX ने एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में कहा।

अगस्त के आंकड़ों से भारत में उपयोगिताओं, उद्योगों और वाणिज्यिक उपभोक्ताओं सहित विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में बिजली की मजबूत मांग का पता चलता है। अगस्त से सितंबर के लिए आईईएक्स की अपनी रिपोर्ट में इस वृद्धि का श्रेय नए प्‍लेयर्स की भागीदारी, तेजी की भावना और बिजली बाजार में बढ़ी पारदर्शिता को दिया गया है।

भारत की राष्ट्रीय बिजली खपत में बढ़ोतरी एक ऐसे वक्‍त में हुई है, जो देश की महामारी के बाद की आर्थिक सुधार को रेखांकित करती है। विशेषज्ञ इस बढ़ोतरी को एक संकेत के रूप में देखते हैं कि उत्पादन गतिविधियां पूरी क्षमता पर वापस आ गई हैं, जो कई औद्योगिक क्षेत्रों से बिजली की बढ़ती मांग से प्रमाणित होता है। यह डेटा औद्योगिक उत्पादन और उपभोक्ता मांग द्वारा संचालित भारत के आर्थिक पुनरुत्थान की तीव्र गति को दर्शाता है।

 

बिजली की खपत में वृद्धि के कारण डे अहेड मार्केट (डीएएम) और टर्म अहेड मार्केट (टीएएम) दोनों में गतिविधि बढ़ गई है। यह आईईएक्स के लिए अनुकूल रहा है। इससे उसकी बिजली ट्रेडिंग मात्रा में 21 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई है।

Mumbai: 23/09/08: The Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) has recorded a significant 21 per cent increase in traded electricity volume for the month of August 2023. This growth aligns with a notable rise of 16 per cent in India’s national power consumption, reaching 151.66 billion units in the same period. IEX said in a press release.

August’s data reveals robust demand for electricity across various sectors in India, including utilities, industries, and commercial consumers. The IEX’s own report for August to September attributes this growth to the participation of new players, showcasing bullish sentiment and increased transparency in the power market.

The spike in India’s national electricity consumption comes at a pivotal moment, underscoring the country’s post-pandemic economic recovery. Experts view this uptick as an indication that production activities are back to full capacity, validated by the heightened demand for electricity from multiple industrial sectors. This data accentuates the rapid pace of India’s economic resurgence, driven by industrial production and consumer demand alike.

 

The surge in power consumption has led to a domino effect of heightened activity in both the Day Ahead Market (DAM) and the Term Ahead Market (TAM). This has been favourable for IEX, fuelling its own 21 per cent growth in electricity trading volume.
