नई दिल्ली : 2025/07/05: भारतीय वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने कल कहा कि भारत समय-सीमा के आधार पर व्यापार समझौते नहीं करता, बल्कि पारस्परिक लाभ और राष्ट्रीय हित के आधार पर करता है।

 

नई दिल्ली में 16वें टॉय बिज बी2बी एक्सपो के दौरान पत्रकारों से बातचीत में गोयल ने कहा, "कोई भी सौदा तभी स्वीकार किया जाएगा, जब वह पूरी तरह से परिपक्व हो, अच्छी तरह से बातचीत की गई हो और राष्ट्रीय हित में हो।"

 

भारत किसी निर्णय पर तभी सहमत होगा, जब यह दोनों पक्षों के लिए जीत-जीत वाला हो, गोयल के हवाले से घरेलू मीडिया आउटलेट्स ने कहा।

 

भारत और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका कथित तौर पर अंतरिम व्यापार समझौते के अंतिम चरण में हैं। जहां भारत अपने श्रम-गहन उत्पादों के लिए अधिक बाजार पहुंच की मांग कर रहा है, वहीं अमेरिका अपने कृषि उत्पादों के लिए शुल्क रियायत चाहता है।

 

यह वार्ता इसलिए महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि अमेरिका द्वारा लगाए गए पारस्परिक शुल्कों का निलंबन 9 जुलाई को समाप्त हो रहा है।

 

उन्होंने कहा, "विभिन्न देशों के साथ चर्चा चल रही है, चाहे वह यूरोपीय संघ हो, न्यूजीलैंड हो, ओमान हो, अमेरिका हो, चिली हो या पेरू हो। कई देशों के साथ समझौतों पर बातचीत चल रही है।"

New Delhi : 2025/07/05: Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal yesterday said India does not enter into trade agreements based on deadlines, but on mutual benefits and national interest.

“A deal is accepted only when it is fully matured, well-negotiated, and in the national interest," Goyal told journalists on the sidelines of the 16th Toy Biz B2B expo in New Delhi.

 

India will agree on a decision if it is a win-win for both parties, Goyal was cited as saying by domestic media outlets.

 

India and the United States are reportedly at the final stages of an interim trade deal. While the former is seeking greater market access for its labour-intensive products, the latter wants duty concessions for its agricultural products.

 

The talks are crucial as the suspension of US reciprocal tariffs ends on July 9.

 

"Discussions are ongoing with various countries, be it the European Union, New Zealand, Oman, the US, Chile, or Peru. Talks about agreements are under way with many nations," he added.
