Statement of Amit Shah at the Bharatiya Janata Party Press Conference ।। भारतीय जनता पार्टी की प्रेस वार्ता में अमित शाह का वक्‍तव्‍य

 

कोलकाता: 2025/12/30:  मित्रों आज सभी का मनपूक स्वागत है। आज 30 दिसंबर का दिन है। हम सभी भारतीयों के लिए गौरव का दिन है। आज ही के दिन 1943 में बंगाल की भूमि के सुपुत्र प्रदेश के महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानी नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस ने पोर्ट ब्लेयर में पहली बार आजाद भारत का झंडा फहराने का काम किया था।

 

एक प्रकार से हमारे आजादी के संग्राम का यह बहुत महत्वपूर्ण मुकाम था और इसके कई साल बाद, आठ दशक बाद, आज 30 दिसंबर को जब हम पीछे मुड़कर देखते हैं तो बंगाल के लिए आज से लेकर अप्रैल तक का समय बहुत महत्वपूर्ण समय है।

 

अप्रैल में बंगाल में विधानसभा के चुनाव होने जा रहे हैं। बंगाल में जहां पर भी जाते हैं, वहां भय, भ्रष्टाचार, कुशासन और घुसपैठ की जगह विरासत, विकास और गरीब कल्याण की एक मजबूत सरकार बनाने का बंगाल की जनता का संकल्प दिखाई पड़ता है।

 

तृणमूल कांग्रेस के 15 साल के शासन में भय, भ्रष्टाचार और कुशासन और विशेषकर घुसपैठ से बंगाल की जनता चिंतित भी है, भयभीत भी है और आशंकित भी है। हम भारतीय जनता पार्टी के सभी कार्यकर्ता बंगाल की जनता को आश्वासन भी देना चाहते हैं और वादा भी करना चाहते हैं कि मोदी जी के नेतृत्व में बंगाल में भारतीय जनता पार्टी की सरकार बनने के साथ ही यहां की विरासत को हम पुनर्जीवित करेंगे। विकास की गंगा फिर से बड़ी तेज गति से बहेगी।

 

गरीब कल्याण जो बंगाल का आज बहुत महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दा बना है। देश भर में जहां-जहां एनडीए सरकार हैं, भाजपा सरकारें हैं, हमने गरीब गरीब कल्याण को प्राथमिकता दी है। यहां पर भी गरीब कल्याण को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी। और ये सब के साथ-साथ एक ऐसी मजबूत राष्ट्रीय ग्रीड बनाएंगे जो बंगाल से घुसपैठ को समाप्त कर देंगे। इंसान छोड़ दीजिए परिंदा भी पैर नहीं मार पाए। इस प्रकार की एक मजबूत घृढ़ की रचना हम करेंगे। और न केवल घुसपैठ रोकेंगे। सारे घुसपैठियों को चुनचुन कर भारत के बाहर निकालने का काम भी भारतीय जनता पार्टी की बंगाल सरकार करेगी।

 

आज ममता बनर्जी के नेतृत्व में भ्रष्टाचार के कारण पूरे बंगाल का विकास एक प्रकार से थम गया है। मोदी जी की सारी लाभकारी योजनाएं पूरे देश में गरीबी का उन्मूलन कर रही है। यहां पर टोल सिंडिकेट के भेंट चढ़ चुकी हैं और हर योजना डेड एंड पर पहुंच चुकी है।

 

14 सालों से भय और भ्रष्टाचार यह बंगाल का पहचान बना हुआ है। बीजेपी सरकार का संकल्प 15 अप्रैल 2026 के बाद जब भारत भाजपा सरकार बनेगी। बंग गौरव बंग संस्कृति उसके पुनर्जागरण की हम फिर से शुरुआत करेंगे और विवेकानंद जी, बंकिम बाबू और गुरुवर टैगोर और श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी के स्वप्न का बंगाल बनाने का हम फिर से एक बार प्रयास करेंगे।

 

और आज मैं फिर से एक बार कहना चाहता हूं, भारतीय जनता पार्टी के लिए ये बंगभूमि बहुत पवित्र और बहुत मायने रखने वाली है। क्योंकि हमारी स्थापना भारतीय जनता पार्टी की स्थापना भारतीय जनसंघ की स्थापना यही बंगभूमि के बड़े नेता श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी ने की। भारतीय जनता पार्टी की स्थापना से स्वामी विवेकानंद और बंकिम चंद्र चट्टोपाध्याय गहरा संबंध है। इनका अनुकरण भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने अपने सभी सिद्धांतों के अंदर किया है।

 

मित्रों, आज जब मैं कह रहा हूं कि इस बार 2026 के बंगाल के विधानसभा चुनाव में बंगाल में हमारी सरकार बनेगी। इसका मजबूत आधार भी भारतीय जनता पार्टी के पास है। मैं आपको 2014 से 2024 तक के चुनाव के यात्रा के परिणामों को बताना चाहता हूं। 2014 के लोकसभा चुनाव में हमें 17 परसेंट वोट मिले थे, और दो सीटें मिली थी।

 

मेरी बात जरा सभी पत्रकार बंधु ध्यान से सुने। 2014 के चुनाव में हमें 17% वोट और दो सीट मिले थे। 2016 के विधानसभा चुनाव में हमें 10% वोट मिले और विधानसभा की केवल तीन सीटें मिली थी। फिर 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव में हमें 41% वोट मिले और 18 सीटें मिली। और 2021 के विधानसभा चुनाव में हमें 38% वोट मिले और 77 सीटें मिली।

 

यह बहुत बड़ा अंतर है। जिस पार्टी को केवल तीन सीट मिले थे, वह पार्टी 5 साल के ही अंतराल में 77 सीट प्राप्त करती है। और इसका नतीजा देखिए। कांग्रेस जिसकी एक प्रकार से स्थापना ही बंगाल से शुरू हुई वो कांग्रेस पार्टी बिग जीरो पर पहुंच गई। और 34 साल तक शासन करने वाला कम्युनिस्ट गठबंधन भी एक भी सीट प्राप्त नहीं कर पाया।  और हमने मुख्य विपक्ष का स्थान प्राप्त किया।

 

आज शुभेंदु जी मेरे साथ यहां पर बैठे हैं। वह हमारे प्रतिपक्ष के नेता हैं। 2024 के चुनाव में भी हमने 39% वोट पाए प्राप्त किया। 12 सीटें प्राप्त की और 26 में हम निश्चित रूप से प्रचंड बहुमत के साथ भारतीय जनता पार्टी की सरकार बनाने वाले हैं। 

 

मित्रों ये 24 से अब तक का समय भारतीय जनता पार्टी के लिए बहुत शुभांकर सिद्ध हुआ है। 2024 में तीसरी बार लगातार तीसरी बार नरेंद्र मोदी जी इस देश के प्रधानमंत्री बने। उसके बाद महाराष्ट्र में, हरियाणा में, दिल्ली में और अब बिहार में भारतीय जनता पार्टी की सरकारें बनी है। 2024 के चुनाव में उड़ीसा और आंध्र प्रदेश में भी पूर्ण बहुमत की भाजपा की और एनडीए की सरकार बनी है।

 

मुझे पूरा भरोसा है कि 2026 में बंगाल में दो तिहाई बहुमत के साथ भारतीय जनता पार्टी की सरकार बनेगी। ये बंगाल की जनता तय कर कर बैठी है।

 

मित्रों, पूरे बंगाल की जनता घुसपैठियों से त्रस्त है। क्या कोई राज्य सरकार ऐसी हो सकती है जो घुसपैठियों की पनाहगाह अपने राज्य को बना दे? राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा पर एक किस कितना बड़ा खतरा है। क्‍या इसका जवाब बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री देगी? घुसपैठ रोकने के लिए उनके पास क्या योजना है?

 

आर्टिकल 370 हटता है। वह विरोध करती है। सीएए लाकर बंगाल के शरणार्थियों को नागरिकता देने का हम कार्यक्रम करते हैं। वह विरोध करती है। और वो ठीकरा फोड़ते हैं कि बीएसएफ रोक नहीं रही है।

 

ममता जी, मैं आज आपको इस सार्वजनिक प्रेस वार्ता में पूछना चाहता हूं कि कौन सरकार है? कौन सी सरकार है? बांग्लादेश की पूरी सीमा पर जो वाड़बंदी करने के लिए, बॉर्डर पर फेंसिंग करने के लिए, जमीन नहीं देती है।

 

अगर आप जवाब ना दे पाए तो मैं ही देता हूं। आपकी ही सरकार है जो जमीन नहीं देती है, जिसके कारण फेंसिंग का काम समाप्त नहीं होता है।

 

फिर भी भौगोलिक रूप से कठिन सीमा पर से कोई घुसकर आता है तो कहां जाता है सबसे पहले? सबसे पहले, बंगाल के गांव में जाता है। आपका पटवारी क्या कर रहा है? आपका थाना क्या कर रहा है? क्यों इसको अरेस्ट नहीं किया जाता? क्यों उस पर केस दर्ज नहीं होता? क्यों इसको वापस भेजा नहीं जाता? जवाब है क्या आपके पास?

 

क्या बंगाल की मुख्यमंत्री जवाब दे सकती है? कि आसाम में घुसपैठ क्यों बंद हो गई? त्रिपुरा में घुसपैठ क्यों बंद हो गई? गुजरात और राजस्थान की बॉर्डर पर गुजर घुसपैठ क्यों नहीं होती है? पंजाब की बॉर्डर पर घुसपैठ क्यों नहीं होती है? कश्मीर की बॉर्डर पर घुसपैठ क्यों नहीं होती है? सिर्फ बंगाल में क्यों होती है?

 

क्योंकि आपकी निगेबानी में घुसपैठ कराई जाती है। और बंगाल को धीरे-धीरे डेमोग्राफी चेंज कर कर आप आपकी वोट बैंक को पुख्ता करनी चाहती है। मगर ये  लंबा नहीं चलेगा।

 

बंगाल की जनता अब जान गई है। और इसके खिलाफ लामबंद भी हो रही है। और मुझे मालूम है अगला चुनाव घुसपैठियों को निकालने के मुद्दे पर और घुसपैठ रोकने के मुद्दे पर लड़े जाने वाला है।

 

क्योंकि ना केवल ये बंगाल का मामला रहा है। मैं आज बंगाल की जनता को इस प्रेस वार्ता के माध्यम से बताने आया हूं कि बंगाल की बॉर्डर से हो रही घुसपैठ सिर्फ बंगाल का मामला नहीं रहा है। अब ये राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा का मामला है। देश की संस्कृति को बचाना है। देश की सुरक्षा को सुनिश्चित करना है तो बंगाल की बॉर्डर सील कर दे। ऐसी देशभक्त सरकार यहां लानी पड़ेगी। यह ममता बनर्जी नहीं कर सकती। यह केवल और केवल भारतीय जनता पार्टी कर सकती है।

 

घुसपैठ के अलावे भ्रष्टाचार से पूरी बंगाल की जनता त्रस्त है। रोज वैली चिट फंड घोटाला, कैश फॉर क्वेरी घोटाला, एसएससी घोटाला, नगरपालिका नगर निगम का भर्ती का घोटाला, गाय तस्करी का घोटाला, राशन पीडीएस का घोटाला, मनरेगा का घोटाला, पीएम आवास का घोटाला, इतने सारे घोटाले हैं कि मैं पूरा लिस्ट पढूंगा तो मेरी प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस का पूरा हिस्सा ही उसमें चला जाएगा।

 

अब क्या ममता बनर्जी इस बात का जवाब दे सकती है कि आपके मंत्रियों के ठिकाने पर से 27 करोड़ मिलता है जिसको गिनतेगिनते नोट गिनने की मशीन भी गर्म होकर बंद हो जाती है। बंगाल जैसे गरीब राज्य के अंदर 27 करोड़, 20 करोड़, 15 करोड़ ये राशि मिल रही है। आपकी कोई अकाउंटेबिलिटी नहीं है।

पार्थो चैटर्जी जेल में जाते हैं। ज्योति प्रिय मलिक जेल में जाते हैं। अनुव्रत मंडल जेल में जाते हैं। जीवन कृष्ण शाह जेल में जाते हैं। माणिक भट्टाचार्य जेल में जाते हैं। चंद्रनाथ सिन्हा जेल में जाते हैं। परेश पाल जेल में जाते हैं। कुंतल घोष जेल में जाते हैं। फिरद हकीम वह भी आरोपी बनाए जाते हैं। शोभन चैटर्जी आरोपी बनाए जाते हैं। कुणाल घोष 3 साल जेल में रहकर आते हैं और आप कहती है कि भ्रष्टाचार नहीं हो गया।

 

हो रहा है। आपने आंख मूंद लिया है भ्रष्टाचार के लिए। मगर बंगाल की जनता अपनी आंख बंद कर कर नहीं बैठी है। गरीब बंगाल की जनता के अधिकार का पैसा आपकी कैडर की भेंट चल रहा है। आपको इसको जवाब देना पड़ेगा।

 

महिलाओं की सुरक्षा एक बहुत बड़ा मुद्दा बना है। अधिकृत रूप से कहा जाता है कि महिलाएं 7:00 बजे के बाद अपने हॉस्टल और घर से ना निकले। हम कौन से जमाने में जी रहे हैं? मुगल काल में जी रहे हैं क्या? 

 

ममता जी यह आजाद भारत यहां माताओं बहनों को पूरा दिन जब इनकी मर्जी हो जब इनको काम हो घर के बाहर निकलने की सुरक्षा प्रदान करना  हमारा संवैधानिक दायित्व है, जो देने में आपकी सरकार विफल गई है। आर जी कर मेडिकल कॉलेज का मामला हो, संदेश खाली का मामला हो, दुर्गापुर मेडिकल कॉलेज का मामला हो, साउथ कॉलेज लॉ कॉलेज का मामला हो, हर जगह बेटियां असुरक्षित हैं। और ढेर सारे लोग और ढेर सारी माताएं बहने अत्याचार से तंग आ चुकी हैं। असुरक्षा से तंग आ चुकी है। वह भी राह देख रही है कि कब वोट देने का अधिकार आए और हम यह निकम्मी तृणमूल कांग्रेस की सरकार को हटा दें।

 

सांप्रदायिक तुष्टीरण को इस राज्य सरकार ने अपनी नीति के रूप में स्वीकार कर लिया है। अब मरहम लगाने का प्रयास हो रहा है। मगर अब मरहम लगाने से कुछ नहीं होता है। बंगाल की हिंदुओं के हृदय पर घाव इतना गहरा बैठ गया है कि कोई मरहम काम नहीं आएगा। अब आपका जाने का समय तय हो गया है।

यहां तक इंतहा कर दी। यहां तक कि पार्लियामेंट में वंदे मातरम पर चर्चा होती है। बंकिम बाबू ने रचे हुए वंदे मातरम पर चर्चा हुई। जो गीत पूरे हमारे आजादी का आंदोलन का प्रेरणा गीत बना। वो वंदे मातरम की चर्चा का तृणमूल कांग्रेस विरोध कर रही है क्योंकि उनकी वोट बैंक इससे नाराज हो रही है। ये बंगाल की जनता कभी सहन नहीं कर सकती।

 

एक जमाना था मित्रों, कि भारत के जीडीपी में बंगाल का योगदान 10.5% था और तीसरे नंबर पर था। जीडीपी में योगदान की दृष्टि से हमारा बंगाल तीसरे नंबर पर था। तीसरे नंबर पर से सरक कर ये 49 साल में वो 22वें नंबर पर आ गया। बंगाल का इतना आर्थिक पतन कभी नहीं हुआ है।

 

कम्युनिस्टों के शासन के पहले, तृणमूल के शासन के पहले, प्रति व्यक्ति बंगाल की आय राष्ट्रीय औसत से 127% ज्यादा थी। देश में नागरिक ₹100 कमाता था तो बंगाल में ₹127 कमाता था। आज देश का नागरिक ₹100 कमाता है तो बंगाल का नागरिक ₹73 कमाता है। ममता जी आपको इसको जवाब देना पड़ेगा।

हर प्रकार के उद्योग की शुरुआत एक जमाने में इस सुजलाम सुफलाम भूमि से हुआ था। और इसी के आधार पर सोनार बांग्ला की परिकल्पना की जाती थी। उस बंगाल से आज भ्रष्टाचार घुसपैठ और टोलबाजी के कारण सारी इंडस्ट्री वापस जा रही है। केंद्र सरकार की योजनाएं लागू करने में उनको अपनी वोट बैंक गवाने का डर है। पीएम किसान योजना लागू  नहीं किया। बंगाल के किसानों का ₹100 करोड़ चला गया। आयुषमान भारत आज तक लागू नहीं किया।  आयुषमान भारत से एक प्रकार से कमियां वाली स्वास्थ्य साथी की स्कीम लागू की है। मुझे बताइए कोई बंगाली नागरिक भारत में कहीं जाता है और बीमार पड़ गया स्वास्थ्य साथी स्कीम उसको बाहर के अस्पताल में इलाज करवा पाएगी क्या? नहीं करवा पाएगी।

 

क्या गुनाह किया है बंगाल के गरीबों ने? देश भर के गरीबों को 5 लाख तक की पूरे स्वास्थ्य की गारंटी मिल रही है। कई राज्यों ने किया कि केंद्र 5 लाख दे रहा है। उन्होंने और 5 लाख जोड़ दिए। आप केंद्र के 5 लाख इसलिए स्वीकार नहीं करना चाहते हो कि नरेंद्र मोदी से आपको डर है।

 

डर तो ठीक ही है। क्योंकि मोदी जी की लोकप्रियता बंगाल में दिन प्रतिदिन बढ़ती है। मगर इसके कारण गरीबों का आप नुकसान कर रही हो। वो बंगाल के गरीब जरूर हैं। हिंसा और प्रतिशोध की राजनीति  के शिकार हैं। पूरा देश ऐसी आशा करता था कि यहां से कम्युनिस्ट जाने के बाद हिंसा और प्रतिशोध की राजनीति समाप्त हो जाएगी। मगर हुआ उल्टा।  इन्होंने तो कम्युनिस्टों को भी पीछे छोड़ दिया।

 

मित्रों अब तक 300 से अधिक भारतीय जनता पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता मारे गए हैं। 21 के चुनाव के बाद लगभग 3000 कार्यकर्ता विस्थापित बनकर आज भी अपने गांव में नहीं लौटे हैं। उनपर दबाव बनाया जाता है कि आप तृणमूल का झंडा उठाओ तभी गांव को रहने देंगे। क्या यह स्वस्थ लोकतंत्र की निशानी है?

 

कोई व्यक्ति अपने किसी राजनीतिक दल में काम कर है। वह स्वतंत्र रूप से तय नहीं कर पाएगा। वो ममता की मुख्यमंत्री की चेंबर से तय करेगी क्या? ममता जी जितना भी प्रताड़ना करना हो करो। बंगाल की जनता अब तय कर कर बैठी है। इन्होंने भाजपा के कार्यकर्ताओं को हर तरह से प्रताड़ित किया। यहां तक कि महिलाओं पर बलात्कार भी किए गए। मैं अपना रिपोर्ट नहीं दे रहा हूं। नेशनल ह्यूमन राइट कमीशन का रिपोर्ट है। इसका भी जवाब ममता जी को देना पड़ेगा।

ममता जी ने सारी संवैधानिक औचित्य को समाप्त कर दिया। किसी भी राज्य में प्रधानमंत्री जाते हैं तो वो देश के प्रधानमंत्री होते हैं। कई राज्यों में हमारी सरकार नहीं कहीं ऐसा व्यवहार नहीं होता। वंदे भारत ट्रेन देने प्रधानमंत्री आते हैं। ममता जी स्टेज पर नहीं जाती है।

 

भारत सरकार के सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश से बने हुए भारत सरकार के डीओपीटी के रूल्स ये तोड़ देती है। मरोड़ देती है। डीजीपी और मुख्य सचिवों की अपॉइंटमेंट में मनमानी करती है। रिटायर्ड होने के बाद सलाहकार बनाकर प्रॉक्सी डीजीपी और प्रोक्सी सीएस बैठाने का काम करती है। यह 34 साल कम्युनिस्टों का शासन और 15 साल टीएमसी का शासन। ममता बनर्जी के शासन में सिंडिकेट, टोलबाजी, कट मनी सिस्टम को बढ़ावा दिया है। यहां कमाई करने का अधिकार एक ही व्यक्ति  है। किसी को कमाई करने का अधिकार नहीं है। सब में हिस्सेदारी देनी पड़ती है।

 

 

बंगाल एक जमाने में देश में सबसे पहला था। सबसे पहला मोटर कारखाना पश्चिम बंगाल में लगा। सबसे पहला पावर प्लांट 1887 में बंगाल में लगा। सबसे पहली कोयलरी बंगाल में आई। सबसे पहला स्टील प्लांट बंगाल में लगा। देश की सबसे पहली हाई राइज बिल्डिंग बंगाल में बनी। देश के सबसे पहली झूट मिल बंगाल में बनी। देश की पहली मेट्रो ट्रेन बंगाल में आई। एक ही शहर में दो पोर्ट एक ही जगह है। देश की सबसे पहली आधुनिक यूनिवर्सिटी कोलकाता यूनिवर्सिटी भी बंगाल में बनी। विश्व प्रसिद्ध विश्व भारती यूनिवर्सिटी भी,  जिसने भारतीय शिक्षा के कांसेप्ट को जमीन पर उतारा वो भी बंगाल में बनी। मगर ममता जी आप गौरव मत करिएगा। इसमें से कुछ आपके समय में नहीं हुआ है।

 

 

इन्‍होंने उस रिदमम को इनकी लय को, बंगाल की विकास की गति को तोड़ने का काम किया है। बंगाल आज इंडस्ट्रियल रूप से कंप्लीटली बर्बाद बन हो चुका है। यह आपके शासन में ही हुआ है। आधा अधूरा तो कम्युनिस्ट बेचारे कर कर गए थे। आपने तो पूरा ही समाप्त कर दिया। सिंडिकेट राज, तालेबाजी, शत्रुतापूर्ण माहौल। इसके कारण 2011 से 25 के बीच में 7000 से ज्यादा कंपनियां बंगाल छोड़कर बंगाल के बाहर चली गई। और मित्रों ये बहुत बड़ा सेटबैक बंगाल के आर्थिक विकास के लिए है।

 

मित्रों बंगाल स्वामी विवेकानंद, बंकिम चंद्र चट्टोपाध्याय, शरद चट्टोपाध्याय महर्षि अरविंद, ईश्वर चंद्र विद्यासागर और कवि गुरु टैगोर जैसे महापुरुषों की धरती है। यहीं धरती पर नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस, अमर शहीद खुदीराम बोस, वाघा जतिन, रवींद्रनाथ सन्याय, रास बिहारी बोज, मास्टर सूर्यसेन, प्रफुल चाकी, वीणा दास, कल्पना दत्त सभी ने देश की आजादी के लिए आलेख जगाया था। यहीं पर कई सारे फिल्मकार मिले, संगीतकार मिले, चित्रकार मिले। इस भूमि ने कई सारे दुनिया को प्रभावित करने वाले संत भी दिए। वो बंगाल आज ऐसे कगार पर पहुंच गया है कि अगर एक घुसपैठ की बयार रोकी नहीं गई तो बंगाल का अस्तित्व भी खतरे में है। ऐसा स्पष्ट रूप से समाज जीवन को जानने वाले सभी लोगमानते हैं। और अंत में मैं बंगाल की जनता को फिर से एक बार कहना चाहता हूं कि बंगाल के अस्तित्व पर तो घुसपैठिया संकट है। बंगाल की संस्कृति पर ये घुसपैठिया संकट है।

 

परंतु अब ये संकट केवल बंगाल तक सीमित नहीं रहा है। पूरे देश तकयह संकट आगे बढ़ गया है। मेरा आप सभी से करबद्ध निवेदन है। आपने लंबे समय तककांग्रेस को मौका दिया। 34 साल तक कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी को मौका दिया। 15 साल तक ममता बनर्जी को मौका दिया। इनका ट्रैक रिकॉर्ड नीचे नीचे नीचे गिराने का है। अब इससे नीचे कोई जगह नहीं बची है।

Statement of Amit Shah at the Bharatiya Janata Party Press Conference

 

Kolkata: December 30, 2025: Friends, a warm welcome to all of you. Today is December 30th. It is a day of pride for all of us Indians. On this very day in 1943, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the great freedom fighter and son of the soil of Bengal, hoisted the flag of independent India for the first time in Port Blair.

 

In a way, this was a very important milestone in our freedom struggle, and many years later, eight decades later, today, on December 30th, when we look back, the period from today until April is a very crucial time for Bengal.

 

Assembly elections are going to be held in Bengal in April. Wherever we go in Bengal, we see the resolve of the people of Bengal to establish a strong government that prioritizes heritage, development, and the welfare of the poor, replacing the current atmosphere of fear, corruption, misgovernance, and infiltration.

 

The people of Bengal are worried, fearful, and apprehensive about the fear, corruption, misgovernance, and especially the infiltration that has prevailed during the 15 years of Trinamool Congress rule. We, all the workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party, want to assure and promise the people of Bengal that with the formation of a Bharatiya Janata Party government in Bengal under the leadership of Modi ji, we will revive the heritage of this land. The river of development will flow again with great speed.

 

The welfare of the poor has become a very important issue in Bengal today. Wherever there are NDA governments, BJP governments across the country, we have prioritized the welfare of the poor. Here too, the welfare of the poor will be given priority. And along with all this, we will create such a strong national grid that will completely stop infiltration into Bengal. Not even a bird will be able to cross the border. We will create such a strong and impenetrable barrier. And we will not only stop infiltration, but the BJP government in Bengal will also work to identify and expel all infiltrators from India.

 

Today, due to the corruption under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, the development of the entire Bengal has come to a standstill. All of Modi ji's beneficial schemes are eradicating poverty across the country. Here, however, they have fallen prey to the toll syndicate, and every scheme has reached a dead end.

 

For 14 years, fear and corruption have been the defining characteristics of Bengal. The BJP government's resolve is that after April 15, 2026, when a BJP government is formed in India, we will once again begin the renaissance of Bengal's pride and culture, and we will once again strive to create the Bengal envisioned by Swami Vivekananda, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Gurudev Tagore, and Syama Prasad Mukherjee.

 

And today I want to say once again that this land of Bengal is very sacred and significant for the Bharatiya Janata Party. Because our party, the Bharatiya Janata Party, and its predecessor, the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, were founded by the great leader of this land of Bengal, Syama Prasad Mukherjee. Swami Vivekananda and Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay have a deep connection with the founding of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The Bharatiya Janata Party has followed their principles in all its ideologies.

 

Friends, today when I say that this time, in the 2026 Bengal assembly elections, our government will be formed in Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party has a strong basis for this claim. I want to tell you about the results of the elections from 2014 to 2024. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, we received 17 percent of the votes and two seats.

 

All the journalists should listen carefully to what I am saying. In the 2014 elections, we received 17% of the votes and two seats. In the 2016 assembly elections, we received 10% of the votes and only three assembly seats. Then in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, we received 41% of the votes and 18 seats. And in the 2021 assembly elections, we received 38% of the votes and 77 seats.

 

This is a huge difference. The party that had only three seats gained 77 seats in just five years. And look at the result. The Congress party, whose origins are, in a way, rooted in Bengal, has been reduced to zero. And the communist alliance, which had ruled for 34 years, couldn't even secure a single seat. And we became the main opposition party.

 

Today, Shubhendu Ji is sitting here with me. He is our Leader of the Opposition. In the 2024 elections, we secured 39% of the vote, won 12 seats, and in 26 constituencies, we are certain to form a government with a massive majority for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

 

Friends, the period from 2024 to the present has proven very auspicious for the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 2024, Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of this country for the third consecutive time. After that, BJP governments were formed in Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi, and now in Bihar. In the 2024 elections, a BJP and NDA government with a clear majority was also formed in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.

 

I am fully confident that in 2026, a Bharatiya Janata Party government will be formed in Bengal with a two-thirds majority. The people of Bengal have already decided this.

 

Friends, the entire population of Bengal is suffering because of illegal immigrants. Can there be any state government that turns its state into a haven for illegal immigrants? What a huge threat this poses to national security! Will the Chief Minister of Bengal answer this? What plan does she have to stop illegal immigration?

 

Article 370 is abrogated, and she opposes it. We bring in the CAA to grant citizenship to refugees in Bengal, and she opposes it. And then she blames the BSF for not stopping the infiltration.

 

Mamata ji, I want to ask you today in this public press conference: which government is it? Which government is it that doesn't provide land for fencing the entire border with Bangladesh?

 

If you can't answer, then I will. It is your government that doesn't provide the land, due to which the fencing work remains incomplete.

 

Yet, if someone infiltrates across this geographically challenging border, where do they go first? First, they go to the villages of Bengal. What is your patwari (village accountant) doing? What is your police station doing? Why aren't they arrested? Why isn't a case registered against them? Why aren't they sent back? Do you have an answer?

 

Can the Chief Minister of Bengal answer why infiltration has stopped in Assam? Why has infiltration stopped in Tripura? Why is there no infiltration across the borders of Gujarat and Rajasthan? Why is there no infiltration across the Punjab border? Why is there no infiltration across the Kashmir border? Why is it only happening in Bengal?

 

Because infiltration is being facilitated under your watch. And you want to gradually change the demography of Bengal to consolidate your vote bank. But this won't last long.

 

The people of Bengal have now understood. And they are mobilizing against it. And I know that the next election will be fought on the issue of expelling infiltrators and stopping infiltration.

Because this is no longer just a matter of Bengal. I have come today to tell the people of Bengal through this press conference that the infiltration happening across the Bengal border is no longer just a matter of Bengal. Now it is a matter of national security. If we want to save the country's culture, if we want to ensure the country's security, then the Bengal border must be sealed. Such a patriotic government will have to be brought here. Mamata Banerjee cannot do this. Only and only the Bharatiya Janata Party can do this.

 

Besides infiltration, the entire population of Bengal is suffering from corruption. The Rose Valley chit fund scam, the cash-for-query scam, the SSC scam, the municipal corporation recruitment scam, the cow smuggling scam, the ration PDS scam, the MNREGA scam, the PM Awas Yojana scam – there are so many scams that if I read the entire list, it would take up the entire press conference.

 

Now, can Mamata Banerjee answer why ₹27 crore was found at the residence of one of her ministers, an amount so large that the note-counting machine overheated and stopped working? ₹27 crore, ₹20 crore, ₹15 crore – these amounts are being found in a poor state like Bengal. You have no accountability.

Partha Chatterjee goes to jail. Jyoti Priya Mallick goes to jail. Anubrata Mondal goes to jail. Jivan Krishna Saha goes to jail. Manik Bhattacharya goes to jail. Chandranath Sinha goes to jail. Paresh Pal goes to jail. Kuntal Ghosh goes to jail. Firhad Hakim is also made an accused. Shobhan Chatterjee is made an accused. Kunal Ghosh spends 3 years in jail, and you say that there is no corruption?

 

It is happening. You have turned a blind eye to corruption. But the people of Bengal are not sitting with their eyes closed. The money meant for the poor people of Bengal is being looted by your cadres. You will have to answer for this.

 

Women's safety has become a huge issue. It is officially being said that women should not leave their hostels and homes after 7 PM. What era are we living in? Are we living in the Mughal era?

 

Mamata ji, this is independent India. It is our constitutional duty to provide security to our mothers and sisters so that they can leave their homes whenever they want, whenever they have work. Your government has failed to provide this. Whether it is the case of RG Kar Medical College, Sandeshkhali, Durgapur Medical College, or South Calcutta Law College, daughters are unsafe everywhere. And many people, many mothers and sisters, are fed up with the atrocities. She is fed up with the insecurity. She too is waiting for the day when she gets the right to vote so that we can remove this useless Trinamool Congress government.

 

This state government has adopted communal appeasement as its policy. Now they are trying to apply a balm. But applying a balm now will not help. The wound on the hearts of the Hindus of Bengal is so deep that no balm will work. Your time to go is now fixed.

They have gone to such extremes. Even in Parliament, there is a discussion on Vande Mataram. There was a discussion on Vande Mataram, composed by Bankim Babu, the song that became the inspiration for our entire freedom movement. The Trinamool Congress is opposing the discussion on Vande Mataram because their vote bank is getting upset. The people of Bengal will never tolerate this.

 

There was a time, friends, when Bengal's contribution to India's GDP was 10.5%, and it was ranked third. Our Bengal was third in terms of contribution to GDP. From third place, it has slipped to 22nd place in 49 years. Bengal has never experienced such economic decline.

 

Before the rule of the Communists, before the rule of the Trinamool, the per capita income of Bengal was 127% higher than the national average. If a citizen in the country earned ₹100, a citizen in Bengal earned ₹127. Today, if a citizen of the country earns ₹100, a citizen of Bengal earns ₹73. Mamata ji, you will have to answer for this.

 

Every type of industry once originated from this fertile land. And it was on this basis that the vision of Sonar Bangla (Golden Bengal) was conceived. Today, due to corruption, infiltration, and extortion, all industries are leaving that Bengal. They are afraid of losing their vote bank by implementing the central government's schemes. They haven't implemented the PM Kisan Yojana (Prime Minister's Farmer Scheme). Bengal's farmers have lost ₹100 crore because of this. Ayushman Bharat (National Health Protection Scheme) has not been implemented to this day. Instead of Ayushman Bharat, they have implemented a flawed health scheme called Swasthya Sathi. Tell me, if a Bengali citizen goes anywhere in India and falls ill, will the Swasthya Sathi scheme allow them to receive treatment in a hospital outside Bengal? No, it won't.

 

What crime have the poor people of Bengal committed? The poor across the country are getting a guarantee of complete healthcare up to ₹5 lakh. Many states have added another ₹5 lakh to the ₹5 lakh provided by the central government. You don't want to accept the central government's ₹5 lakh because you are afraid of Narendra Modi.

 

The fear is justified, because Modi ji's popularity is increasing day by day in Bengal. But because of this, you are harming the poor. They are indeed the poor of Bengal, victims of violence and politics of revenge. The entire country hoped that after the communists left, the politics of violence and revenge would end. But the opposite happened. They have surpassed even the communists.

 

Friends, more than 300 Bharatiya Janata Party workers have been killed so far. After the 2021 elections, nearly 3000 workers are still displaced and have not returned to their villages. They are being pressured to carry the Trinamool flag; only then will they be allowed to live in their villages. Is this a sign of a healthy democracy?

 

A person works for a political party. Will they not be able to decide independently? Will it be decided from Mamata's Chief Minister's chamber? Mamata ji, do whatever persecution you want. The people of Bengal have made up their minds. They have persecuted BJP workers in every way. Even women have been raped. I am not giving my own report. This is the National Human Rights Commission's report. Mamata ji will have to answer for this as well.

Mamata ji has destroyed all constitutional propriety. When the Prime Minister visits any state, he is the Prime Minister of the country. Even in states where we don't have a government, such behavior doesn't occur. The Prime Minister comes to inaugurate the Vande Bharat train, and Mamata ji doesn't even go on stage.

 

She violates and distorts the rules of the Government of India's Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), which were established by a Supreme Court order. She acts arbitrarily in the appointments of the DGP and Chief Secretaries. After their retirement, she appoints them as advisors, effectively installing proxy DGPs and proxy Chief Secretaries. This is the result of 34 years of Communist rule and 15 years of TMC rule. Under Mamata Banerjee's rule, syndicates, extortion, and the cut-money system have flourished. Here, only one person has the right to earn money. No one else has the right to earn. Everyone has to give a share.

 

Bengal was once at the forefront of the country. The first motor factory was established in West Bengal. The first power plant was established in Bengal in 1887. The first colliery came to Bengal. The first steel plant was established in Bengal. The country's first high-rise building was built in Bengal. The country's first jute mill was built in Bengal. The country's first metro train came to Bengal. Two ports are located in the same city. The country's first modern university, Calcutta University, was also established in Bengal. The world-renowned Visva Bharati University, which brought the concept of Indian education to the ground, was also established in Bengal. But Mamata ji, don't take pride in this. None of this happened during your time.

 

They have broken that rhythm, that momentum, the pace of Bengal's development. Bengal is now completely ruined industrially. This has happened under your rule. The poor Communists had only partially ruined it; you have completely destroyed it. Syndicate rule, lockouts, a hostile environment. Because of this, between 2011 and 2025, more than 7,000 companies left Bengal and relocated outside the state. And friends, this is a huge setback for the economic development of Bengal.

 

Friends, Bengal is the land of great personalities like Swami Vivekananda, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, Maharishi Aurobindo, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, and Kaviguru Tagore. It is on this very land that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the immortal martyr Khudiram Bose, Bagha Jatin, Rabindranath Sanyal, Rash Behari Bose, Master Surya Sen, Prafulla Chaki, Bina Das, and Kalpana Dutt all ignited the flame of freedom for the country. Many filmmakers, musicians, and painters emerged from this land. This land has also given the world many saints who influenced the world. That Bengal has now reached such a critical point that if the influx of infiltrators is not stopped, the very existence of Bengal will be in danger. This is clearly acknowledged by all those who understand the social fabric of the region. And finally, I want to say to the people of Bengal once again that the existence of Bengal is threatened by this infiltration crisis. Bengal's culture is threatened by this infiltration crisis.

 

But now this crisis is no longer limited to Bengal. This crisis has spread to the entire country. I humbly request all of you. You gave the Congress party a chance for a long time. You gave the Communist Party a chance for 34 years. You gave Mamata Banerjee a chance for 15 years. Their track record is one of continuous decline. There is no lower point left to reach.

 

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has a proven track record. Wherever BJP governments have come to power, those states have moved from being backward states to becoming prosperous states. The entire country is progressing under the leadership of Modi ji. The entire country is becoming safer under the leadership of Modi ji. India's culture, India's religions, and India's languages ​​are flourishing and progressing throughout the country under the leadership of Modi ji. I appeal to the people of Bengal to elect a BJP government with a resounding majority under the leadership of Modi ji. We will create the Bengal envisioned by Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, and Bankim Chandra Chatterjee. We will create a "Golden Bengal," and I firmly believe that only a BJP government can accomplish this. So, once again, I humbly request the people of Bengal to give us a full majority. To secure Bengal and the entire nation of India, please set aside all other considerations in this election and vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party.
