नई दिल्ली: 14/01/2026: भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और जर्मन चांसलर फ्रेडरिक मर्ज़ ने हाल ही में छोटे और मध्यम उद्यमों (SMEs), स्टार्ट-अप, डिजिटलीकरण, आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) और इनोवेशन-संचालित उद्यमों के माध्यम से दोनों तरफ की अनदेखी आर्थिक क्षमता को पूरी तरह से साकार करने की अपनी प्रतिबद्धता को दोहराया।

 

मर्ज़ 12-13 जनवरी को एक उच्च-स्तरीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल के साथ भारत की आधिकारिक यात्रा पर थे। यह चांसलर के तौर पर भारत की उनकी पहली आधिकारिक यात्रा थी और एशिया की भी पहली यात्रा थी।

 

मोदी ने जर्मन कंपनियों को भारत की मजबूत आर्थिक विकास, व्यापार-अनुकूल माहौल, बड़े उच्च-कुशल कार्यबल और संचालन को बढ़ाने के अपार अवसरों का लाभ उठाने के लिए भारत में निवेश करने और व्यवसायों का विस्तार करने के लिए आमंत्रित किया।

 

मर्ज़ ने भारतीय कंपनियों द्वारा निवेश के लिए जर्मनी को एक आकर्षक स्थान के रूप में अनुशंसित किया।

 

भारत-जर्मनी रणनीतिक साझेदारी ने 2025 में 25 साल पूरे किए और दोनों देशों के बीच राजनयिक संबंधों ने इस साल 75 साल पूरे किए।

 

दोनों नेताओं ने अहमदाबाद में भारत-जर्मनी सीईओ फोरम को संबोधित किया। भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय से जारी एक विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया है कि मर्ज़ व्यापार और तकनीकी सहयोग पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने वाले कार्यक्रमों के लिए बेंगलुरु का भी दौरा कर रहे हैं।

 

2024 में वस्तुओं और सेवाओं में भारत-जर्मनी द्विपक्षीय व्यापार $50 बिलियन से अधिक हो गया, जो यूरोपीय संघ के साथ भारत के व्यापार का 25 प्रतिशत से अधिक है।

 

दोनों नेताओं ने आगामी यूरोपीय संघ-भारत शिखर सम्मेलन के एक प्रमुख परिणाम के रूप में भारत-यूरोपीय संघ मुक्त व्यापार समझौते के समापन के लिए अपने समर्थन को दोहराया, जो व्यापार प्रवाह को सुविधाजनक बनाएगा और जर्मन-भारतीय आर्थिक संबंधों में और गति प्रदान करेगा।

 

दोनों नेताओं ने प्रौद्योगिकी, ऑटोमोटिव, रक्षा, जहाज निर्माण, स्मार्ट बुनियादी ढांचे, फार्मास्यूटिकल्स, रसायन, जैव प्रौद्योगिकी, औद्योगिक उपकरण इंजीनियरिंग और ऊर्जा में अधिक व्यापार सहयोग और निवेश को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए दोनों पक्षों के प्रमुख मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारियों (सीईओ) और उद्योगपतियों के साथ बातचीत की।

 

उन्होंने जर्मन-भारतीय सीईओ फोरम के माध्यम से द्विपक्षीय आर्थिक सहयोग को मजबूत करने पर एक संयुक्त घोषणा पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर का स्वागत किया, जो भारत में जर्मन व्यवसायों और जर्मनी में भारतीय व्यवसायों की लंबे समय से उपस्थिति से समर्थित व्यापार और उद्योग सहयोग को और बढ़ावा देगा।

 

नेताओं ने कहा कि 2026 ग्रीन और सतत विकास साझेदारी (GSDP) की प्रतिबद्धता अवधि का आधा समय है, और भारत और जर्मनी के बीच इस प्रमुख पहल के कार्यान्वयन पर संतोष व्यक्त किया।

New Delhi: 2026/01/14: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz recently reaffirmed their commitment to fully realise the untapped economic potential on both sides through small and medium enterprises (SMEs), start-ups, digitalisation, artificial intelligence (AI) and innovation-driven enterprises.

 

Merz is on an official visit to India on January 12-13 accompanied by a high-level delegation. This was his first official visit to India and his first visit to Asia as the Chancellor.

 

Modi invited German companies to invest and expand businesses in India to benefit from its strong economic growth, business-friendly environment, large highly-skilled workforce and immense opportunities to scale up operations.

 

Merz recommended Germany as an attractive location for investment by Indian companies.

 

The India-Germany Strategic Partnership completed 25 years in 2025 and diplomatic ties between the two countries complete 75 years this year.

 

The two leaders addressed India-Germany CEOs Forum in Ahmedabad.  Merz is also visiting Bengaluru with engagements focusing on business and technological collaboration, a release from the Indian Prime Minister’s Office said.

 

India-Germany bilateral trade in goods and services surpassed $50 billion in 2024, amounting to over 25 per cent of India’s trade with EU.

 

Both leaders reiterated their support for the conclusion of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement as a key outcome of the upcoming EU-India Summit, which will facilitate trade flows and inject further momentum into German-Indian economic relations.

 

Both leaders interacted with leading chief executive officers (CEOs) and industry leaders from either sides to encourage more business collaboration and investment in technology, automotives, defence, shipbuilding, smart infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biotechnology, industrial equipment engineering and energy.

 

They welcomed the signing of a joint declaration of intent on strengthening the bilateral economic cooperation through the German-Indian CEO Forum, which will further promote business and industry collaboration, supported by the long-standing presence of German businesses in India and Indian businesses in Germany.

 

The leaders noted that 2026 marks half-time of the commitment period of the Green and Sustainable Development Partnership (GSDP), and expressed satisfaction at implementation of this flagship initiative between India and Germany.
