बीजिंग: 05/09/2026: चीन ने फ्रांस से अपने 'एंटी-अल्ट्रा-फास्ट-फैशन' कानून को लागू करने से तुरंत रोकने का आग्रह किया है। चीन का कहना है कि इस कदम से विश्व व्यापार संगठन (WTO) के भेदभाव-रहित सिद्धांत का उल्लंघन होने की आशंका है और इससे सस्टेनेबल टेक्सटाइल ट्रेड सेक्टर में चीनी निवेश वाली कंपनियों पर असर पड़ेगा।

 

चीन के वाणिज्य मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता हुआंग लिंग ने कहा कि यह कानून तथाकथित पर्यावरण संरक्षण और सस्टेनेबिलिटी स्टैंडर्ड्स तय करने के बहाने दोहरे मापदंड अपनाता है।

 

उन्होंने सस्टेनेबल टेक्सटाइल ट्रेड में दोनों पक्षों के बीच मतभेदों को समान बातचीत के जरिए सुलझाने का आह्वान किया, ताकि चीनी निवेश वाली कंपनियों के लिए एक निष्पक्ष और भेदभाव-रहित बाजार का माहौल बनाया जा सके।

 

स्थानीय मीडिया की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, हुआंग ने गुरुवार को एक नियमित प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में ये बातें कहीं।

 

उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि अगर फ्रांस इस कानून को आगे बढ़ाने पर अड़ा रहता है, तो चीन चीनी निवेश वाली कंपनियों के वैध अधिकारों और हितों की रक्षा के लिए जरूरी कदम उठाएगा, और इसके नतीजों के लिए फ्रांस खुद जिम्मेदार होगा।

 

मंत्रालय का यह ताजा रुख जुलाई के आखिर में की गई टिप्पणियों के बाद आया है, जब फ्रांसीसी अधिकारियों ने स्पष्ट रूप से शीन (Shein), टेमू (Temu) और अलीएक्सप्रेस (AliExpress) जैसे क्रॉस-बॉर्डर ई-कॉमर्स प्लेटफॉर्म को इस कानून का मुख्य निशाना बताया था।

 

उस समय मंत्रालय ने कहा था कि यह कानून चीनी निवेश वाले प्लेटफॉर्म पर भेदभावपूर्ण प्रतिबंध लगाता है और कानून के जरिए निष्पक्ष प्रतिस्पर्धा को बुरी तरह प्रभावित करता है। मंत्रालय ने यह भी कहा कि यह कदम चीन के खिलाफ व्यापार में बाधा है और निष्पक्ष प्रतिस्पर्धा और मुक्त व्यापार के उन सिद्धांतों से गंभीर रूप से अलग है जिनका फ्रांस ने सार्वजनिक रूप से समर्थन किया है।

 

अगर फ्रांस आगे बढ़ता है और बीजिंग जरूरी कदम उठाता है, तो एक्सपोर्टर्स, प्लेटफॉर्म और सोर्सिंग टीमों को अनिश्चितता का सामना करना पड़ सकता है।

Beijing: 2026/09/05: China has urged France to immediately stop implementing its anti-ultra-fast-fashion law, saying the measure is suspected of violating the non-discrimination principle of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and affects Chinese-invested enterprises in the sustainable textile trade sector.

 

The law, under the pretext of setting so-called environmental protection and sustainability standards, uses a double standard, China’s Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Huang Ling said.

 

He called for differences between the two sides in sustainable textile trade to be resolved through equal dialogue, with the aim of creating a fair and non-discriminatory market environment for Chinese-invested enterprises.

 

Huang made the remarks at a regular press conference on Thursday, a local media outlet reported.

 

He also said that if France insists on proceeding with the law, China will take necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese-invested enterprises, and France will bear all resulting consequences.

 

The ministry’s latest position follows comments in late July, when it was asked about French officials explicitly identifying cross-border e-commerce platforms, including Shein, Temu and AliExpress, as the primary targets of the legislation.

 

At that time, the ministry said the law imposed discriminatory restrictions on Chinese-invested platforms and severely distorted fair competition through legislation. It also said the measure constituted a trade barrier against China and seriously deviated from the principles of fair competition and free trade that France has publicly advocated.

 

Exporters, platforms and sourcing teams face uncertainty if France proceeds and Beijing takes necessary measures.
