22 जुलाई 2022 :  भारतीय वाणिज्य और उद्योग और कपड़ा मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने हाल ही में भारतीय कपास निगम (सीसीआई) को भारतीय कृषि अनुसंधान परिषद के सहयोग से आईसीएआरखाओं के अपने नेटवर्क के माध्यम से किसानों को कृषि विस्तार सेवाएं उधार देने का निर्देश दिया। उन्‍होंने कपास उत्पादकता में सुधार के लिए गुणवत्ता वाले कपास के बीज की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। श्री गोयल मुंबई में टेक्सटाइल एडवाइजरी ग्रुप (टीएजी) के साथ दूसरी संवाद बैठक में भाग ले रहे थे। एक आधिकारिक विज्ञप्ति में उद्धृत किया गया है।

 

उन्होंने कहा कि कपास की उत्पादकता बढ़ाने के लिए उच्च उपज वाले कपास के बीज से संबंधित उन्नत तकनीकों और उच्च घनत्व रोपण प्रणाली जैसी नवीन कृषि विज्ञान तकनीकों को पेश किया जाना चाहिए।

 

टेक्सटाइल वैल्यू चेन को देश में ट्रेसबिलिटी प्रौद्योगिकियों और परीक्षण सुविधाओं को मजबूत करने की जरूरत है।

 

कपास में प्रदूषण से बचने के लिए रंगीन उर्वरक बैगों के उपयोग के तरीकों पर विचार-विमर्श करते हुए, गोयल ने टीएजी को लंबे समय से लंबित मुद्दे को प्राथमिकता के आधार पर हल करने का निर्देश दिया, जिससे लागत बढ़ जाती है।

 

गोयल ने कपड़ा आयुक्त को निर्देश दिया कि मूल्य श्रृंखला में आंकड़ों की सटीकता की आवश्यकता को पूरा करने के लिए अनुपालन के लिए सांख्यिकी संग्रह अधिनियम की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत दंडात्मक प्रावधानों को लागू किया जाए।

 

उन्होंने उद्योग के लिए प्रस्तावित यार्न नेशनल इंडेक्स की वस्तुनिष्ठता, व्यवहार्यता और विश्वसनीयता की जांच करने के निर्देश दिए।

 

8. मशीनीकृत कपास पिकिंग के लिए, उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि कपास प्रौद्योगिकी अनुसंधान संस्थान (सीआईआरसीओटी) और दक्षिणी भारत मिल्स एसोसिएशन-कॉटन डेवलपमेंट एंड रिसर्च एसोसिएशन (एसआईएमए-सीडीआरए) द्वारा प्रभावी और कुशल उपकरण किसानों द्वारा मान्य एक स्वदेशी, लागत बढ़ाने के लिए एक समर्पित प्रयास किया जाना चाहिए। ।

Piyush Goyal directs Cotton Corporation of India to lend agricultural extension services to farmers

22 July 2022: Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry and Textiles Piyush Goyal recently directed the Cotton Corporation of India (CCI) in collaboration with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research to lend agricultural extension services to farmers through its network of ICAR accounts. He emphasized on the need of quality cotton seeds to improve cotton productivity. Mr. Goyal was participating in the second interaction meeting with Textile Advisory Group (TAG) in Mumbai. Quoted in an official release.

 

He said that in order to increase the productivity of cotton, advanced techniques related to high yielding cotton seeds and innovative agronomy techniques like high density planting system should be introduced.

 

The textile value chain needs to be strengthened through traceability technologies and testing facilities in the country.

 

While deliberating on the approaches for use of coloured fertiliser bags to avoid contamination in cotton, Goyal directed TAG to address the long-pending issue on a priority basis with a solution that does escalate costs.

 

Goyal directed the Textile Commissioner that the penal provisions under the relevant sections of Collection of Statistics Act be invoked for compliance to address the need of accuracy of statistics across the value chain.

 

He directed to examine the objectivity, feasibility and reliability of the proposed yarn national index for industry.

 

For mechanised cotton picking, he stressed that a dedicated effort be done by Central Institute for Research in Cotton Technology (CIRCOT) and the Southern India Mills’ Association-Cotton Development and Research Association (SIMA-CDRA) to make an indigenous, cost-effective and efficient device validated by farmers.
