मुंबई: 2023/10/05: भारतीय कपड़ा उद्योग परिसंघ (CITI) ने 29 सितंबर, 2023 को वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से अपनी 65वीं वार्षिक आम बैठक (AGM) आयोजित की थी।

 

65वीं एजीएम के बाद, सीआईटीआई की नवगठित समिति ने राकेश मेहरा को सीआईटीआई का अध्यक्ष चुना; अश्विन चंद्रन सीआईटीआई के उपाध्यक्ष के रूप में; और दिनेश नोलखा को दो साल यानी 2023-25 के लिए उपाध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया। सीआईटीआई ने एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में कहा।

 

पदभार संभालते हुए मेहरा ने कहा कि वे  पूरे कपड़ा क्षेत्र के विकास के लिए सहयोगात्मक और समावेशी पहल की दिशा में मिलकर काम करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं।

 

मेहरा, एक चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट, बांसवाड़ा सिंटेक्स लिमिटेड (बीएसएल) के अध्यक्ष हैं, जो एकीकृत कपड़ा निर्माता और यार्न, फैब्रिक और परिधानों के निर्यातक हैं, जिनका टर्नओवर रुपए 1,400 करोड़ है। उन्होंने अपनी स्कूली शिक्षा अमृतसर और अजमेर से और बीकॉम चंडीगढ़ से की। उन्होंने एएफ फर्ग्यूसन एंड कंपनी, चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट्स, मुंबई के साथ अपनी 3 साल की आर्टिकलशिप पूरी की।

 

मेहरा 1986 में बीएसएल में शामिल हुए और भारत के मानव निर्मित वस्त्रों के निर्यात को विकसित करने वाले अग्रदूतों में से एक थे। उन्हें यूके में कपड़ा निर्यात व्यवसाय और तुर्किये में यार्न निर्यात व्यवसाय खोलने का श्रेय दिया जाता है। मेहरा विभिन्न उद्योग संघों से जुड़े रहे हैं। उन्हें दो कार्यकाल के लिए सिंथेटिक एंड रेयॉन टेक्सटाइल एक्सपोर्ट प्रमोशन काउंसिल (एसआरटीईपीसी) का अध्यक्ष चुना गया। वह इंडियन स्पिनर्स एसोसिएशन (आईएसए) के अध्यक्ष और सीआईटीआई के उपाध्यक्ष थे।

 

प्रीकॉट लिमिटेड, कोयंबटूर के अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक चंद्रन को CITI का उपाध्यक्ष चुना गया है। वह कपड़ा प्रौद्योगिकी, यूएमआईएसटी, यूके में बी.एससी (ऑनर्स) स्नातक और अमेरिका के इलिनोइस विश्वविद्यालय से स्नातकोत्तर (एमबीए) हैं। चंद्रन ने पीसी रेसिंग फाउंडेशन, द कॉटन टेक्सटाइल्स एक्सपोर्ट प्रमोशन काउंसिल और टेक्सटाइल सेक्टर स्किल काउंसिल में निदेशक का पद संभाला है। वह SIMA के अध्यक्ष, मानव निर्मित फाइबर और यार्न और तकनीकी वस्त्रों पर CITI उप-समिति के सदस्य, TEXPROCIL की यार्न समिति के अध्यक्ष और CITI, नई दिल्ली के उपाध्यक्ष भी रहे हैं।

 

नोलखा नितिन स्पिनर्स लिमिटेड, भीलवाड़ा के प्रबंध निदेशक और सीईओ हैं। वह द इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट्स ऑफ इंडिया और द इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ कॉस्ट एंड मैनेजमेंट अकाउंटेंट्स ऑफ इंडिया के फेलो सदस्य हैं। उनका अकादमिक करियर शानदार रहा, उन्होंने 1991 में आईसीएमए फाइनल परीक्षा में अखिल भारतीय आधार पर चौथी रैंक और 1992 में आईसीएआई फाइनल परीक्षा में 43वीं रैंक हासिल की।

 

नोलखा विभिन्न औद्योगिक संघों के सदस्य हैं। उन्होंने मेवाड़ चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्री, भीलवाड़ा, राजस्थान के अध्यक्ष और NITRA, गाजियाबाद के अध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्य किया है। वर्तमान में वह राजस्थान चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्री, जयपुर, राजस्थान के उपाध्यक्ष हैं। उन्हें द इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ चार्टर्ड अकाउंटेंट्स ऑफ इंडिया द्वारा सीए बिजनेस लीडर अवार्ड से भी सम्मानित किया गया है।

Mumbai: 2023/10/05: The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) had held its 65th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 29, 2023, through video conferencing. Following the 65th AGM, the newly Reconstituted Committee of CITI elected Rakesh Mehra as chairman, CITI; Ashwin Chandran as deputy chairman, CITI; and Dinesh Nolkha as vice chairman for two years i.e. 2023-25.

Taking over the mantle, Mehra is committed to working together towards collaborative and inclusive initiatives for the growth of the entire textile sector, CITI said in a press release.

 

Mehra, a Chartered Accountant, is the chairman of Banswara Syntex Limited (BSL), integrated textile manufacturer and exporter of yarns, fabrics, and garments, having a turnover of ₹1,400 crore. He did his schooling in Amritsar and Ajmer and BCom from Chandigarh. He completed his 3-year articleship with AF Ferguson & Co, Chartered Accountants, Mumbai.

 

Mehra joined the BSL in 1986 and was one of the pioneers in developing the export of India’s man-made textiles. He has to his credit the opening up of the fabric export business to the UK and the yarn export business to Turkiye. Mehra has been associated with various industry associations. He was elected chairman of The Synthetic & Rayon Textile Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) for two terms. He was president of the Indian Spinners’ Association (ISA) and deputy chairman of CITI.

 

Chandran, chairman and managing director of Precot Limited, Coimbatore has been elected as the deputy chairman of CITI. He is a B.Sc (Hons) graduate in textile technology, UMIST, UK and post-graduate (MBA) from the University of Illinois, US. Chandran has held the position of director in the PC Racing Foundation, The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council, and the Textile Sector Skill Council. He has also been the chairman of SIMA, member of the CITI sub-committee on manmade fibre and yarn and technical textiles, chairman of the Yarn Committee of TEXPROCIL, and vice-chairman of CITI, New Delhi.

 

Nolkha is the managing director and CEO of Nitin Spinners Ltd, Bhilwara. He is a fellow member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and The Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India. He had a brilliant academic career having secured 4th rank on All India Basis in ICMA Final Exams in 1991 and 43rd Rank in ICAI Final exams in 1992.

 

Nolkha is a member of various industrial associations. He has served as president of the Mewar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bhilwara, Rajasthan and chairman of NITRA, Ghaziabad. Presently he is vice president of the Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Jaipur, Rajasthan. He has also been conferred the CA Business Leader Award by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
