कैनबरा: 31 अगस्त 2025: ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने लालफीताशाही कम करने, व्यवसायों पर अनुपालन का बोझ कम करने और उत्पादकता बढ़ाने के लिए 500 और उपद्रवी शुल्क समाप्त करने का फैसला किया है।

 

यह पिछले साल जुलाई में सरकार द्वारा पहले ही समाप्त किए जा चुके 457 शुल्कों के अतिरिक्त है।

 

इसका मतलब ऑस्ट्रेलियाई उपभोक्ताओं के लिए सस्ते उत्पाद और ऑस्ट्रेलियाई व्यवसायों के लिए अनुपालन लागत में कमी होगी, कोषाध्यक्ष जिम चाल्मर्स और व्यापार एवं पर्यटन मंत्री डॉन फैरेल की एक संयुक्त प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया है।

 

यह निर्णय सरकार द्वारा हाल ही में आयोजित आर्थिक सुधार गोलमेज सम्मेलन के बाद लिया गया है।

 

इस सुधार के साथ, हम दो वर्षों में लगभग 1000 शुल्क हटा देंगे और लगभग 23 अरब डॉलर मूल्य के व्यापार को सुव्यवस्थित करेंगे, जिससे ऑस्ट्रेलियाई व्यवसायों को सालाना अनुपालन लागत में 15.7 करोड़ डॉलर की बचत होगी।

 

वित्त विभाग अब समाप्त किए जाने वाले लगभग 500 अतिरिक्त शुल्कों की प्रस्तावित सूची पर विचार-विमर्श करेगा। 10 दिसंबर तक आवेदन स्वीकार किए जाएँगे और हटाए जाने वाले टैरिफ़ की पूरी और अंतिम सूची अगले बजट में प्रकाशित की जाएगी।

 

इस निर्णय से व्यवसायों को हर साल अनुपालन लागत में 32 मिलियन डॉलर से अधिक की बचत होगी, ऐसा विज्ञप्ति में कहा गया है।

Canberra: 2025/08/31: Australia has decided to abolish another 500 nuisance tariffs to help cut red tape, ease compliance burden on businesses and boost productivity.

 

This is on top of the 457 tariffs already abolished by the government in July last year.

 

This would mean cheaper products for Australian consumers and reduced compliance costs for Australian businesses, a joint press release from treasurer Jim Chalmers and minister for trade and tourism Don Farrell said.

 

The decision followed a recent economic reform roundtable by the government.

 

With this reform, we’ll have removed around 1000 tariffs over two years and streamlined approximately $23 billion worth of trade, saving Australian businesses $157 million in compliance costs annually.

 

The treasury department will now consult on the proposed list of almost 500 additional tariffs to be abolished. Submissions will be accepted till December 10 and a full and final list of agreed tariffs for removal will be published in the next budget.

 

The decision will save business over $32 million in compliance costs each year, the release added.
