नई दिल्ली: भारतीय जनता पार्टी और उसके सहयोगी - आईपीएफटी और एनडीपीपी - त्रिपुरा और नागालैंड में सत्ता बरकरार रखने में सफल रहे।  इस बीच, मेघालय एक त्रिशंकु विधानसभा की ओर जाता दिख रहा है। जिसमें कोनराड संगमा के नेतृत्व वाली एनपीपी सबसे बड़ी पार्टी के रूप में उभर रही है।

 

त्रिपुरा विधानसभा के लिए 16 फरवरी को मतदान हुआ था, जहां 28.14 लाख मतदाताओं में से 89.95 प्रतिशत ने अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग किया था। मेघालय और नगालैंड विधानसभा के लिए 27 फरवरी को मतदान हुआ था।

 

हालांकि भाजपा नागालैंड और मेघालय में एक मामूली खिलाड़ी है, लेकिन इसने अपनी उपस्थिति महसूस की और सरकार में अपनी हिस्सेदारी बनाए रखते हुए अखिल भारतीय पदचिह्न बनाए रखेगी। इस वर्ष के अंत में होने वाले राज्य के बड़े चुनावों पर लाभ का कोई प्रभाव पड़ने की संभावना नहीं है, लेकिन वे भाजपा की एक विजेता इकाई होने की धारणा को मजबूत करते हैं और मनोबल को ऊंचा रखने में मदद करेंगे।

 

पतन में कांग्रेस, वामपंथी

 

वे दिन लद गए जब उत्तर-पूर्व की राजनीति में कांग्रेस का दबदबा था और त्रिपुरा पर सीपीएम का दबदबा था। अब कांग्रेस इन हिस्सों में एक कारक नहीं रह गई है। त्रिपुरा में सीपीएम का वोट शेयर पिछली बार के 42% से गिरकर 25% तक गिर गया। यह वामपंथियों के लिए सड़क के अंत जैसा दिखता है।  इसने लंबे समय तक राष्ट्रीय राजनीति में एक विशाल आवाज का आनंद लिया था।

 

त्रिपुरा विधानसभा चुनाव 2023 के सभी एग्जिट पोल ने बीजेपी और उसके सहयोगी इंडिजिनस पीपुल्स फ्रंट ऑफ त्रिपुरा को भारी जनादेश दिया है। एग्जिट पोल के अनुमानों के मुताबिक, 60 सीटों में से बीजेपी गठबंधन को लगभग 40 सीटें जीतने का अनुमान है। राज्य में भाजपा-आईपीएफटी गठबंधन को वाम-कांग्रेस गठबंधन और प्रद्योत किशोर देबबर्मा के नेतृत्व वाली क्षेत्रीय पार्टी टिपरा मोथा से चुनौती मिल रही है। गुरुवार को दोपहर 12 बजे तक मतगणना के रुझानों ने एग्जिट पोल के अनुमान को कायम रखा, हालांकि बीजेपी की बढ़त को टिपरा मोथा ने झटका दिया. टिपरा मोथा ने चुनाव से पहले किसी गठबंधन की घोषणा नहीं की थी।

 

भाजपा-आईपीएफटी गठबंधन ने 60 सदस्यीय त्रिपुरा विधानसभा में 31 सीटें जीतकर लगातार दूसरी बार पूर्वोत्तर राज्य की सत्ता में वापसी की है। भारत निर्वाचन आयोग की आधिकारिक वेबसाइट के अनुसार, बीजेपी को 30 सीटें मिलीं, जबकि इंडिजिनस पीपुल्स फ्रंट ऑफ त्रिपुरा (आईपीएफटी) को एक सीट मिली। भगवा पार्टी दो और सीटों पर आगे चल रही है क्योंकि गुरुवार को 57 सीटों के नतीजे घोषित किए गए थे।

 

माणिक साहा ने अपने निकटतम प्रतिद्वंद्वी कांग्रेस के आशीष कुमार साहा को 1,257 मतों से हराकर टाउन बारदोवाली से जीत हासिल की, "भाजपा की जीत की उम्मीद थी? हम इसका बेसब्री से इंतजार कर रहे थे। निर्णायक जनादेश के साथ हमारी जिम्मेदारी बढ़ गई है।"

NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies -- IPFT and NDPP -- are set to retain power in Tripura and Nagaland, as per the latest trends post the initial rounds of counting in these two northeast states.

Meanwhile, Meghalaya appears to be headed towards a hung assembly with the Conrad Sangma-led NPP emerging as the single-largest party.

 

The elections for Tripura assembly were held on February 16, where 89.95 per cent of the 28.14 lakh voters exercised their franchise. The elections for Meghalaya and Nagaland assemblies were conducted on February 27.

 

Though BJP is a minor player in Nagaland and Meghalaya, it made its presence felt and will continue to have a share in the government, maintaining its pan-India footprint. The gains are unlikely to have any impact on the much bigger state polls later this year but they do reinforce the impression of BJP being a winning unit and will help keep morale high.

 

Congress, Left in terminal decline

 

The days when Congress dominated the politics of the north-east and CPM lorded over Tripura are long gone. While Congress has ceased to be a factor in these parts, the CPM will be deflated by its vote share falling from 42% last time to 25% in Tripura. It looks like the end of the road for the Left, which had for long enjoyed an oversized voice in national politics. 

 

Tripura assembly election 2023 results live: All exit polls gave a huge mandate to the BJP and its ally the Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura. Out of the 60 seats, the BJP combine is tipped to win around 40 seats, going by the exit poll predictions. The BJP-IPFT combine in the state is challenged by the Left-Congress alliance and Tipra Motha, a regional party headed by Pradyot Kishore Debbarma. Till 12noon on Thursday, the trends from the counting maintained the prediction of the exit polls, though BJP's gain may be stunted by Tipra Motha. Tipra Motha did not announce any alliance before the election.

 

Tripura Assembly Election Results 2023, March 2, 2023 LIVE Updates: The BJP-IPFT alliance has won 31 seats in the 60-member Tripura assembly, securing its return to power in the northeastern state for the second time in a row. According to the Election Commission of India's official website, the BJP bagged 30 seats while the Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) got one. The saffron party is leading in two more seats as results of 57 seats were declared on Thursday.

 

"The BJP's victory was expected? We were eagerly waiting for it. Our responsibility has been increased with the decisive mandate," Manik Saha, who won from Town Bardowali defeating his nearest Congress rival Ashish Kumar Saha by 1,257 votes, said.
