ग्रेटर नोएडा/2023/06/27: केंद्रीय मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने कहा कि भारत कम कार्बन फुटप्रिंट में योगदान देने और सर्कुलर अर्थव्यवस्था को बढ़ावा देने वाले टिकाऊ वस्त्रों में अग्रणी है। वह उत्तर प्रदेश के ग्रेटर नोएडा में 69वें भारत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परिधान मेले (आईआईजीएफ) के उद्घाटन समारोह में दर्शकों को संबोधित कर रहे थे।

 

मंत्री ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि भारत के कपड़ा क्षेत्र को महत्वपूर्ण तरीके से बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से देश के सात राज्यों में प्रधान मंत्री मेगा इंटीग्रेटेड टेक्सटाइल रीजन एंड अपैरल (पीएम मित्रा) पार्क स्थापित किए जा रहे हैं। गोयल ने कहा कि पीएम मित्र पार्क से उचित परीक्षण सुविधाओं के साथ गुणवत्तापूर्ण उत्पादों के विनिर्माण और उत्पादन के क्लस्टर-आधारित दृष्टिकोण के कारण लॉजिस्टिक लागत में कमी आएगी। कपड़ा मंत्रालय ने एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में कहा, उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि पीएम मित्र पार्क के स्थानीय लाभ से इन पार्कों की इकाइयों को घरेलू मांग के साथ-साथ निर्यात को भी पूरा करने में मदद मिलेगी।

 

गोयल ने उद्योग को गुणवत्ता पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने और गुणवत्ता मानकों के अनुपालन के लिए अपने उत्पादों का परीक्षण करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। मंत्री ने युवाओं को बेहतर गुणवत्ता वाले उत्पादों के उत्पादन की सुविधा के लिए नई प्रौद्योगिकियों का आविष्कार और विकास करने के लिए भी प्रेरित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि आईआईजीएफ को कपड़ा क्षेत्र में गुणवत्ता और व्यावसायिकता बढ़ाने पर ध्यान देना चाहिए।

 

गोयल ने कहा कि भारत विभिन्न देशों के साथ व्यापक आर्थिक साझेदारी समझौते (सीईपीए) और मुक्त व्यापार समझौते (एफटीए) की संभावना पर सक्रिय रूप से विचार कर रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि इन समझौतों का उद्देश्य बाजार का आकार बढ़ाना और संपन्न भारतीय कपड़ा क्षेत्र में निर्यातकों को सुविधा प्रदान करना है। मंत्री ने कहा कि इन समझौतों में प्रवेश करके, भारत का लक्ष्य नए बाजारों में प्रवेश करना, निर्यात बढ़ाना और कपड़ा उद्योग में विकास के अवसर पैदा करना है।

 

गोयल ने आईआईजीएफ के आयोजन और दुनिया के साथ भारतीय कपड़ा उद्योग के सहयोग को बढ़ाने का अवसर प्रदान करने के लिए परिधान निर्यात संवर्धन परिषद (एईपीसी) के योगदान की सराहना की। मंत्री ने कपड़ा क्षेत्र की सेवा में कई लोगों को आजीविका के अवसर प्रदान करने, नए स्टार्टअप को प्रोत्साहित करने और कपड़ा क्षेत्र में सूक्ष्म और लघु इकाइयों का समर्थन करने में एईपीसी द्वारा निभाई गई महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका का उल्लेख किया।

 

गोयल ने व्यापार मेला पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र को मजबूत करने और उद्योग, उद्यमियों और अन्य हितधारकों को शामिल करने के लिए राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र में दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा परिधान मेला आयोजित करने का आह्वान किया। इस अवसर पर संसद सदस्य, गौतम बुद्ध नगर, महेश शर्मा; अध्यक्ष, एईपीसी, नरेंद्र गोयनका; भारत और विदेश से वरिष्ठ अधिकारी और अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति भी उपस्थित थे।

Greater Noida/2023/06/27: India is pioneering sustainable textiles contributing to lesser carbon footprint and promoting circular economy, said Union minister Piyush Goyal. He was addressing audiences at the inaugural function of the 69th India International Garment Fair (IIGF) at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

 

The minister highlighted that the Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks are being established across seven states of the country with the objective of promoting India’s textile sector in a significant manner. Goyal said that PM MITRA Parks will lead to reduction of logistic costs due to the cluster-based approach of manufacturing and production of quality products with appropriate testing facilities. He also said that the locational advantages of the PM MITRA Parks will help the units in these parks to cater well to domestic demand as well as the exports, the ministry of textiles said in a press release.

 

Goyal encouraged the industry to focus on quality and test their products to comply with quality standards. The minister also motivated the youth to innovate and develop new technologies to facilitate production of better-quality products. He said that the IIGF must focus on enhancing quality and professionalism in the textile sector.

 

Goyal said that India is actively considering the possibility of Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with various countries. He said that these agreements aim to enhance the market size and facilitate exporters in the thriving Indian textile sector. The minister said that by entering into these agreements, India aims to tap into new markets, increase exports, and create opportunities for growth in the textile industry.

 

Goyal applauded the contribution of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) for organising the IIGF and providing an opportunity for enhanced collaboration of the Indian textile industry with the world. The minister noted the significant role played by AEPC in serving the textile sector providing livelihood opportunities to many people, encouraging new startups and supporting micro and small units in the textile sector.

 

Goyal called for the world’s largest garment fair to be organised in the National Capital Region to strengthen the trade fair ecosystem and engage industry, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders. Member of parliament, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Mahesh Sharma; chairman, AEPC, Narendra Goenka; senior officials and other dignitaries from India and abroad also graced the occasion.
